Obama quotes Alinsky in speech to young Israelis

rulesby
 AARON KLEIN:

JERUSALEM – In his address in Jerusalem today, President Obama channeled Saul Alinsky, citing the radical community organizer’s defining mantra as he urged young Israelis to “create change” to nudge their leadership to act.

Obama told a crowd of college students at Jerusalem’s main convention center that Israel “has the wisdom to see the world as it is, but also the courage to see the world as it should be.”

One of Alinsky’s major themes was working with the world as it “is” to turn it into the world as “it should be.”

In his defining work, “Rules for Radicals,” which he dedicated to “the first rebel,” Lucifer, Alinsky used those words to lay out his main agenda. He asserted radical change must be brought about by working within a system instead of attacking it from the outside.

“It is necessary to begin where the world is if we are going to change it to what we think it should be. That means working in the system,” wrote Alinsky.

Obama related his Alinsky quote to a suggestion that “peace” begins with the people and not just the leadership – a statement some may relate to community organizing.

He further suggested Israelis do an end-run around the country’s leadership and “create the change that you want to see.”

************************

Horowitz writes in his 2009 pamphlet “Barack Obama’s Rules for Revolution. The Alinsky Model”: “The strategy of working within the system until you can accumulate enough power to destroy it was what ’60s radicals called ‘boring from within.’ … Like termites, they set about to eat away at the foundations of the building in expectation that one day they could cause it to collapse.”

Obama Trip Map Cuts Jerusalem, the Golan Heights Out of Israel

obamasisrael-275x350Front Page - By Daniel Greenfield:

Diplomacy. This administration is bad at it. Sure you could write this off as a graphic designer’s error, but it’s an error that hews closely to  the geography of an anti-Israel policy.

I wouldn’t expect Obama Inc. to include Judea and Samaria inside Israel. But cutting out Jerusalem and the Golan Heights would seem to be a bit much.

Obama Inc’s bids to get Israel to give up the Golan Heights stalled when Assad became an international war criminal and the odds of the new Muslim Brotherhood/Al Qaeda overlords making a deal with Israel for the Golan Heights seems wildly unlikely, even by the insane peace madness standards of the last twenty years.

But for some reason Obama Inc. is standing on principle. As for Jerusalem, cutting off all of it suggests what? A revival of the old international city plan?

And apparently Obama expects Israel to hand over territory within its 1948 borders to a Palestinian state on top of that?

The map of the Middle East displayed in an Obama administration video released days before President Barack Obama’s visit to Israel shows the Jewish state dispossessed of substantial parts of its current territory, including its capital.

The map of Israel, displayed repeatedly during the video, shows the Golan Heights, Jerusalem, northern Israel, and areas surrounding what is currently the West Bank as non-Israeli territory. The Golan Heights is shown as part of Syria; Jerusalem is shown as part of the West Bank; and northern Israel is shown as part of Lebanon.

The itinerary on the White House website also implies that Jerusalem is neither Israel’s capital nor even part of Israel.

The president’s schedule lists two stops in “Tel Aviv, Israel” and one in “Amman, Jordan” but his activities in Israel’s capital city are identified as taking place only in “Jerusalem” — with no country name attached. This keeps with a reluctantly-acknowledged administration policy of denying that Jerusalem is Israel’s capital or even a part of Israel.

Jerusalem? What, where is that.

Saudi Arabia Tears Down Column Marking Muslim Claim to Jerusalem

no-flying-horse-for-you-267x350By :

For those who are fans of imaginary archeology, the Muslim claim to Jerusalem is based on the “night journey” that Mohammed took on a flying horse from Mecca to Jerusalem.

The Night Journey was a fiction of mythological colonialism allowing Muslims to lay claim to Jewish sites and their history. It also played a role in the Muslim infighting that led to a boost in the importance of Jerusalem after its conquest. Developing the legend compensates for the fact that Jerusalem is not mentioned in the Koran.

Muslims seized the holiest site in Judaism, planted a mosque on the site and routinely wail about Jewish incursions on a Jewish holy site. (This isn’t unique, Muslims have done the same thing to Christian and Hindu holy sites. Not to mention outright destroying Buddhist holy sites.)

One problem.

Muslim vandalism isn’t just limited to other people’s holy sites. Islamists are notorious for destroying even Muslim shrines. That is how Wahhabism began. It’s what Salafis are now doing in Libya and Mali.

And now the Saudi royal family has destroyed a whole bunch of Islamic heritage sites… including the column from which Mohammed supposedly took off on his flying horse from Mecca.

Brennan Signals ‘Our Saudi Partners’

images (27)By Ken Blackwell and Bob Morrison

When President Obama met Saudi King Abdullah in London in 2009, the former bowed low before the latter.  No American president had ever so abased himself before one of the world’s most oppressive rulers before.

Now, Mr. Obama has nominated John Brennan to be director of the Central Intelligence Agency.  Signals Intelligence, or sigint, is the science of interpreting signals sent by enemies of the United States.  With his Arabic-language skills, John Brennan ought to be good at interpreting signals.

He’s very good at sending them.  When he spoke of Jerusalem — his “most loved city in the world” — he referred to it first by its Arabic nameal Quds.  Nobody refers to Jerusalem as al Quds unless he wants to send a signal: “I agree with you.”

Every Arabic-speaking country denies the right of Israel to exist.  Every one yearns to see Jerusalem swept free of Jews and called al Quds.  When the Jordanians controlled East Jerusalem (1949-1967), they banned all the Jews from living there and from visiting Jewish holy places there.  They even desecrated thousand-year-old graves in Jewish cemeteries there.

That’s what is meant by al Quds.  When you say you love this city more than any other and give it its Arabic name, you are sending the most terrible message.  You are feeding into the Arab narrative that calls the establishment of the Jewish state Nakba – the Day of Catastrophe.

Interview with Pulp Ark, Apostate of Islam and author of Tulisan Murtad

195892_100903499995768_2281168_aWhen and why did you get involved in the anti-Islamic movement?

When I decided to leave Islam 2.5 years back, I felt that I needed a sanctuary, a place that I can share my feelings about Islam. I started with an Indonenian forum run by Ali Sina. It’s a resourceful place in finding the truth about Islam. Suddenly, I was immersed into the forum, confronting Muslims. I made many friends with fellow apostates and infidels that fights along with me.

Six months later, having understood the threat is global, I suggested to my friends to create special FB accounts to reach much wider audience. We continue our fights there, making notes, postings vile Islamic activities and events. A few of our English speaking friends, including me, have began to reach the West.

I started to change my strategy, while it was worthy to confront Muslims, making allies with the West is as important, as Islam has a major problem with Judeo-Christianity it’s trying to corrupt. Earlier, I was tempted to befriended with some reformers, much like my old self. Gradually, I became assured that Islam cannot be reformed from within. It can only be destroyed from without.

I must name the few that shaped me into this today, Christopher Logan and Vin Ienco. There are other big names that I keep on losing due to my recycling FB account, such as Geert Wilders, Robert Spencer, Pamela Geller, and Bridget Gabriel. In any case, I am proud to be among the growing nameless others that work around the clock dedicating themselves in exposing Islam.

I learn further that Islamic goal in world domination is actually recorded as the End of Time prophecy in the Bible; and the Mark is actually very Islamic. All the events in the Middle East and America now are as if they are staging for the Last Trumpet in Jerusalem. This fuel me further to my work, to be the instrument of God, to glorify Him in the name of Christ. I now have a deep love struck with Israel, the vessel of Blessings that Islam try to destroy.

Islamophobia is an irrational fear or prejudice towards Islam and Muslims. Are you an irrational Islamophobe?

I based my work on the Islamic teachings. They clearly condone lies and violence in attaining their goals. To be irrational, is to still think that Islam can be reformed, that those cuddly nice Muslims are the true representative of Islam. It is either they are point blank lying, or sincerely gullible to still think they can reform Islam, or just simply ignorant about the real teaching of Islam.

Muslims are equip with a fair amount of irrational hate towards Infidels alike, especially towards Jews and Christians. All whatever ‘goodness’ are just for among themselves. And they are being indoctrinated since young about the ‘beauty’ of Islam. So, a skin deep Muslim with what left of humanity in his or her heart, when happen to learn more about Islam, will either becoming a terrorist, or an apostate like me.

Much like the age of reformation when Bible becoming available to the known languages, it brought revolutionary changes that helped to enlighten the world. But as for Quran, in this age of the Internet, we are witnessing the rise of Islam around the world with ever increasing body counts and countless mistreatment to women.

Did you receive any threats from Muslims or others because of your involvement in the anti-Islamic movement?

I live among them. My friends, and my greater families are still Muslims. I can be consider lucky, as a few of the open minded ones may have known what I do now, and still have not done anything, just yet. And since I am active only in the cyberspace, any threats are somewhat isolated for now.

What aspects of Islam do you find most problematic and disturbing?

Their ability to lie. Good Muslims will never cherry pick the verses. Both versions works as intended. The violent ones for the obvious, and the sweeter ones to lace them.

To the uninitiated, there is a doctrine of Abrogation in Islam, that for any contradictions, the latest ones has the weight. While Quran has no context whatsoever, especially chronological, Hadis (Muhammad’s sayings) and Sira (Muhammad’s biography) can help to sort this out. http://tulisanmurtad.blogspot.com/2011/04/statistical-islam.html.

Quran is just Muhammad’s tool to satiate his lust of power, sex, and money. Began with bad child upbringging, he suffered an incurable narcissistic personality disorder. He fantasized Allah as his slave to his biddings.

Do you think Israel is a good ally in the struggle against Islamization?

Of course, and Jerusalem is the key. Just because Muhammad had a dream departing from Jerusalem, riding a female headed winged donkey to meet his moon god, just to ask him how many times shall his followers moon him, Muslims had made the city sacred to them.

I am at a dismay that America is at its lowest now, at the time of this Islamic rising. Israel should have its full support from America at this critical time. My saying, please stop dealing with Islamic oil for indirectly financing their Jihad against us, use Israeli instead, and protect Israel at all cost.

God has promised that never again will Jerusalem be controlled by the Gentilles. So, any attempt of it, will simply means a full scale War.

Who is a moderate Muslim?

They are just a facade of the real Islam. As Anjem Choudary would say, there is no moderate vegetarian. So, those nice Muslims neighbors we know, they are just sleeper cells. Try to ask their opinion about the Jews. If they are OK, then they really misunderstand Islam.

Jihad is ‘getting to a better place,’ says CAIR campaign

slide_270028_1886096_free-600x350By Neil Munro

An Islamic-advocacy group linked to terrorism is launching a public-relations campaign to argue that jihad doesn’t mean Islamic holy war, but instead a “concerted effort … with the purpose of getting to a better place.”

However, the campaign, which is being launched Dec. 14 by an affiliate of the Council on American Islamic Relations, isn’t a formal religious declaration by United States or Arab Islamic authorities, and it does clash with orthodox judgments dating back 1,400 years to the beginning of Islam.

“It is [public] education about what we believe,” said Ahmed Rehab, who serves as the founder of the project, head of CAIR’s Chicago affiliate and CAIR’s strategic communications chief.

The views of jihad groups, Salafi activists in Egypt and of the Arab world’s leading preacher, Yusuf al-Qaradawi, “are not the entirety of the story,” Rehab told The Daily Caller on Thursday.

Those orthodox views of jihad as warfare to spread Islam are being championed by a new wave of Islamic revivalists — including numerous jihadi groups, such as the “Jamaat al-Tawhid wa’l-Jihad” terror group in the Gaza strip.

They also are being pushed by Qaradawi, whose weekly radio show has a claimed audience of 60 million. In 2011, he was invited by the dominant Islamic group in Egypt, the Muslim Brotherhood, to give a speech to thousands of Islamist supporters in downtown Cairo.

“I have hope that Almighty Allah … will also please me with the conquest of the al-Aqsa Mosque [in Jerusalem, Israel]. … May Allah prepare the way for us to preach in the al-Aqsa Mosque in safety!” he declared.

In contrast, Rehab’s “MyJihad” public-relations campaign portrays jihad as “a concerted and noble effort against injustice, hate, misunderstanding, war, violence, poverty, hunger, abuse or whatever challenge big or small we face in daily life, with the purpose of getting to a better place,” according to the campaign’s website, MyJihad.org.

The campaign will include testimonials, op-eds, bus advertising and visits to mosques, Rehab said.

“This is a whitewash,” charged Robert Spencer, the author of several books about orthodox Islam.

Jihad, Spencer said, in Islamic texts “as well as in Islamic law, has always borne the primary meaning of warfare against unbelievers in order to affect their subjugation under Sharia.”

Muslim American Society (MAS) and the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) plan “Toward a Renaissance” convention

MAS-ICNAFlorida Family Association:

Two Muslim Brotherhood organizations and powerhouse Islamic groups that seek to Islamize America are holding a conference that is expected to draw 9,500 Muslims to Chicago during the week of Christmas.

The Muslim American Society (MAS) and the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) are planning their convention titled “Toward a Renaissance:  believe, act & engage” December 21-25, 2012 at the Sheraton Downtown Chicago.   “Renaissance” means Islamist dogma based upon the conference statement “The Arab Spring associated with the Islamic Awakening in many parts of the Muslim world.”

Rick Ueno, General Manager of the Sheraton Downtown Chicago responded to Florida Family Association’s concerns regarding the convention on December 3, 2012. He wrote in part:  Please know that the Sheraton Chicago follows a non-discriminatory policy with regard to the booking of groups or events, and we intend to honor our commitment/contract for this event.  Mr. Ueno’s full email is posted at the end of this email.

There is no “non-discrimination” law or corporate policy which protects the anti-social behavior advocated by these organizations.  These groups espouse strong racism and anti-Semitism.  They advocate and lobby for Sharia law in America which is antithetical to the rights afforded all Americans under the United States Constitution.  They are associated with the Muslim Brotherhood and the entire jihad that is behind that organization.

Sadly, it appears that America hoteliers are not willing to offend Islamists but have no problem cancelling traditional America values conferences.  The Amerimar Enterprise owned Hutton Hotel canceled a pro-American, pro-Family groups’ Preserving Freedom Conference scheduled for November 11, 2011 that was designed to combat Sharia.  The Hutton Hotel cancelled the conference after receiving complaints from Islamists.  Amerimar Enterprise sided with Islamic extremists.

The Sheraton Downtown Chicago is owned by The Tishman Hotel Corporation which is headed by Daniel R. Tishman.

According to the Jewish Virtual Library “The Tishmans were prominent in Jewish philanthropies.   Among many campaigns, Alan Tishman was a vice president of UJA Federation of New York” and “Daniel was president of Israel Bonds’ Greater New York appeal.”

Given the Tishman family’s devotion to Israel and Judaism it is difficult to understand why The Tishman Hotel Corporation would allow the anti-Semitic, Hamas-linked, Muslim Brotherhood groups to hold a convention in their hotel.

Click here to send your email to officials at the Tishman Hotel Corporation owners of the Sheraton Downtown Chicago.

According to the Anti-Defamation League:

MAS is closely allied with the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), a Muslim community organization based in Jamaica, New York. While ICNA provides various educational programs and services to local Muslim communities, it has also promoted anti-Semitism and extremism.

MAS holds its annual conventions together with ICNA, drawing thousands of participants each year. These conventions have featured known anti-Semites and provided a platform for extremist rhetoric.

At their joint convention in Rosemont, Illinois, from December 23-27, 2010, several speakers made anti-Semitic and conspiratorial remarks, portraying Jews as a privileged group with undue power. During a panel about U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East sponsored by the anti-Israel group American Muslims for Palestine (AMP), Osama Abuirshaid, an AMP board member, said that the Jewish community is “revered in this country [the United States]” and spoke of “the Israel lobby” and its influence on the U.S. government. Abuirshaid asked, “How influential is this lobby in Washington?  This establishment is as committed to Israel as it is to America.”

Othman Atta, a frequent speaker at AMP events, claimed “U.S. politicians don’t have any concern for people in the Middle East, besides one group of people,” referring to the Jews. Atta then went on to lambaste Judaism, saying, “Theft, detention, denial of rights…this is all done in the name of the Jewish religion.” In front of an audience of hundreds, Atta delved into conspiracy theory, explaining that the perceived absence of WikiLeaks cables about Israel was a result of the documents being “censored by the media in the United States.” Three members of the fringe movement Neturei Karta, who regularly appear at anti-Israel and anti-Semitic events, also attended the 2010 MAS-ICNA convention.

One year earlier, at the MAS-ICNA joint convention in December 2009, religious scholars and political activists railed against Jews from both a political and theological standpoint. Rafiq Jaber, former President of the Islamic Association of Palestine, a Hamas-affiliated anti-Semitic propaganda organization, described Jews to the audience as “the worst kind of people,” who came to Jerusalem “with false pretenses.”

Another speaker, Hamed Ghazali, Chairman of the MAS Council of Islamic Schools and professor at the Islamic American University in Michigan, told convention participants in Arabic that “Allah gave us the Jews” as the primary historical and religious example of those who “take the wrong path.”

Sheikh Raghib Al Serjani, an author and physician from Egypt, declared in Arabic, “It is the duty for all Muslims to liberate all of Palestine from the North to the South, from Al Quds to the sea, it’s a duty for all Muslims to liberate one complete full land of Palestine… It’s not just about liberating Al Quds. It’s all occupied!”

MAS and ICNA sought to draw participants to the December 2009 convention by advertising two known anti-Semitic extremists from abroad as keynote speakers: Zaghloul Al Najjar, an Egyptian cleric who has described Jews as “devils in human form,” and Ra’ed Salah, leader of the Northern Branch of the Islamic Movement in Israel, who served jail time for financing Hamas.

Although neither of the advertised speakers attended the convention, Salah was clearly praised by several individuals who did speak at the event. Omar Abu Irshaid, editor of Al Meezan online publication, and former editor of the anti-Semitic publication linked to the Islamic Association of Palestine (IAP), referred to Salah as “our great Muslim sheikh” and said, “Sheikh Raed is far more knowledgeable and far more experienced. I wish he was here to speak instead of me.”

Anti-Semitic messages are not new to these organizations. At an MAS-ICNA strategy meeting in Chicago in June 2001, Zulfiqar Ali Shah, ICNA’s president at the time, stated: “If we are unable to stop the Jews now, their next stop is Yathrib [Saudi Arabia], where the Jews used to live until their expulsion by Prophet Muhammad.  That’s the pinnacle of their motives,” according to Islam Online, a Web-based publication connected to Sheik Yusuf Qaradawi.

MAS and ICNA have also worked with the North American branch of a radical anti-Semitic and anti-American Pakistani organization, Tanzeem-e-Islami, which operates in the U.S. under the name Islamic Organization of North America (IONA). MAS and ICNA leaders have attended IONA events. At IONA’s official launching event in June 2004, Dr. Souheil Ghannouchi, MAS executive director and former president, said “I don’t think there is any difference” between IONA and MAS ideology.

IONA has also distributed anti-Semitic literature, including a book that blames the Jews for spreading usury in order to advance various conspiracies against humanity.  The book, The Prohibition of Riba, reads: “Shylock, and the world of Shylocks, in real life today, are in control of the world economy and are constantly carving out their pound of flesh from the dying carcass of gentile humanity. The supreme Shylocks of today are the bankers, of whom Jewish bankers take pride of place, the International Monetary Fund and the world Bank, in which Jewish influence is significant, and the governments of the western world which today control the global economy, and in which Jews wield significant influence.”

Gaza Rockets Reach Tel Aviv, Jerusalem

IPT: Hamas rocket fire reached Jerusalem and Tel Aviv Friday, in the latest escalation of the conflict between Gazan terror organizations and Israel. Although Western nations strongly back Israel, Egypt and other new Arab Islamist regimes are ratcheting up their rhetoric at the Jewish state.

Two Hamas M-75 rockets, a new and improved version of the homemade Qassam missiles, fell in open areas outside Jerusalem for the first time Friday. “We are sending a short and simple message: There is no security for any Zionist on any single inch of Palestine and we plan more surprises,” Hamas military spokesman Abu Obeida said about the unprecedented attack.

Rockets also fell on the greater Tel Aviv area Thursday and Friday, setting off air raid sirens in Israel’s largest city for the first time since the Gulf War in the early 1990s.

Despite appeals by President Obama for Egypt to help negotiate a new ceasefire, Egypt took a sharpened tone against Israel following a solidarity visit to Gaza Friday by the nation’s prime minister. Israel agreed to a brief ceasefire during Hesham Kandil’s visit, but that was shattered almost immediately by Hamas rocket fire.

Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi warned Israel that it has “the power to uproot the aggressiveness,” and even threatened that Egypt would take “unusual steps” if he felt the Israeli retaliatory strikes were a danger to the Egyptian homeland. A minister in his government also called for Egyptian attacks inside “the Zionist Entity.”

Turkey’s Islamist leadership called the Israeli anti-terror strikes “a pre-election stunt,” and stated that he and his nation are “with our brothers in Gaza and their just cause.” Tunisia’s government, led by the religious Ennahda party, announced it would be dispatching its foreign minister and a delegation “to provide all political support for Gaza.”

Obama’s Favorite Islamic University Outlaws Judaism in Egypt

By Daniel Greenfield at Front Page:

In 2009, Barack Obama spoke at Al-Azhar and declared, “As a student of history, I also know civilization’s debt to Islam.  It was Islam — at places like Al-Azhar — that carried the light of learning through so many centuries, paving the way for Europe’s Renaissance and Enlightenment.”

Dr. Abdul Hamid al-Atrash

In 2012, Dr. Abdul Hamid al-Atrash, the head of the Fatwa Committee of Al Azhar in Egypt, which issues rulings of Islamic law, declared that Jews could be banned from going to pray in a synagogue.

Al-Atrash says that as long as Muslims cannot travel to Jerusalem while it is in Jewish hands, then Muslims have the right to bar Jews from visiting their own holy places, under the Islamic concept of “reciprocity.” Therefore, he says, Egyptian authorities have the right to ban Jews from going to the Alexandria synagogue on Rosh Hashanah.

Muslims can visit Jerusalem. They choose not to because it’s full of Jews. And since they are too bigoted to visit Jerusalem, then Jews shouldn’t be able to pray in Egypt either.

For all intents and purposes this means that Judaism is on the verge of being outlawed in Egypt. It can still be practiced privately, but not communally, and Judaism is a communal religion.

At Al-Azhar, Obama said, “Islam has a proud tradition of tolerance.  We see it in the history of Andalusia and Cordoba during the Inquisition.  I saw it firsthand as a child in Indonesia, where devout Christians worshiped freely in an overwhelmingly Muslim country.  That is the spirit we need today.  People in every country should be free to choose and live their faith based upon the persuasion of the mind and the heart and the soul.  This tolerance is essential for religion to thrive, but it’s being challenged in many different ways.”

And we keep seeing that tolerance over and over again. At Al Azhar, Obama boasted of standing up for the right of Muslim women to wear the Hijab. Will be similarly stand up for the right of Jews to pray in a synagogue in Egypt?

There’s More Missing from the Democratic Platform Than God and Jerusalem

by Andrew C. McCarthy:

Do you see the words “Hamas” and “Hezbollah” in here? Me neither.

Of course, there’s a difference. The omission of God and Jerusalem from the Democratic Party’s 2012 platform was quite intentionally meant as a demotion, very much in keeping with Obama administration policy. The jihadists, by contrast, are moving up in the world.

As for God, there’s not room in this universe for two The Ones. In cases of conflict, the president has made it abundantly clear that his pieties control, and the pious better get with the program: Domestically, abortion-on-demand and wealth-redistribution to assure free contraceptives for thirty-something co-eds; internationally, close cooperation and billions in U.S. aid for regimes that abet the persecution of Christians, Jews and other religious minorities.

On Jerusalem, administration mouth-pieces and apologists remain as tongue-tied as they were before The One completed his “evolution” on gay marriage. And for precisely the same reason: their grudging public position — Jerusalem is sorta Israel’s capital, but we’re mulling that one, so get back to us on, say, November 7 or so — is miles apart from their private conviction — Jerusalem (or as Obama’s counterterrorism czar, John Brennan, puts it, “al-Quds”) is a “final status” issue that we can’t prejudge because our Muslim friends consider it theirs.

And about those Muslim friends … my friends at the Center for Security Policy remind us of what the Democrats’ 2008 platform had to say about Hamas and Hezbollah:

Our … commitment [to Israel], which requires us to ensure that Israel retains a qualitative edge for its national security and its right to self-defense, is all the more important as we contend with growing threats in the region – a strengthened Iran, a chaotic Iraq, the resurgence of Al Qaeda, the reinvigoration of Hamas and Hezbollah…. [W]e must help Israel identify and strengthen those partners who are truly committed to peace, while isolating those who seek conflict and instability, and stand with Israel against those who seek its destruction. The United States and its Quartet partners should continue to isolate Hamas until it renounces terrorism, recognizes Israel’s right to exist, and abides by past agreements.

Four years later, with Israel’s security situation dramatically — and not coincidentally — worse than it was when Obama was elected, Hamas and Hezbollah have been dropped from the platform. They have not changed, mind you. They continue, without a scintilla of apology, to deny Israel’s right to exist and seek its destruction. But they are this administration’s friends — or, at the very least, friends of its friends.

Hamas is the Palestinian branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, whose takeover of Egypt President Obama abetted and is now subsidizing with American taxpayer dollars. Hezbollah, which has killed more Americans than any jihadist organization other than al Qaeda, got the Brennan seal-of-approval in 2010 as “a very interesting organization” with many “moderate elements.” Both terrorist organizations are supported by the anti-Israeli regime in Turkey, whose Islamist prime minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, is Obama’s closest confidant in the region. Erdogan insists that they are not terrorist organizations but “political parties.” (Erdogan’s Islamization of Turkey and support of jihadists bent on annihilating Israel are subjects of my forthcoming book, Spring Fever: The Illusion of Islamic Democracy.)

Regardless of U.S. law, which designates Hamas and Hezbollah as terrorists whom it is a crime to support, the administration has sided with the Islamists: When Secretary of State Clinton launched Obama’s “Global Counterterrorism Forum” — in conjunction with Turkey, and in partnership with Egypt and Saudi Arabia — Israel, the world’s leading terror target, was excluded. The administration’s preferred allies regard terrorist attacks against Israel as legitimate “resistance” against an illegitimate “occupier.” The Democrats are going along for the ride.
