Dynamite interview with Gohmert on FBI investigation into the Boston Bombing Suspects

downloadLouie Gohmert, who has a way of putting things, manages to pack a lot of information into a short interview.

”Cair, which is cited by the fifth circuit court of appeals as a front organization for the Muslim Brotherhood, has forced our administration to purge materials that reference anything that might be offensive to the radical Islamists who want to kill us”

FBI Director Tells Congress They Didn’t Know About al-Amoudi Link to Tsarnaev Mosque

downloadPJ Media, By BRIDGET JOHNSON:

Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) slammed FBI Director Robert Mueller for not sweeping through Boston mosques after receiving tips about the radicalization of Tamerlan Tsarnaev, while the bureau’s chief told the House Judiciary Committee that his agency did visit the Chechens’ mosque for “outreach.”

Mueller appeared before the committee for a regular oversight hearing, but members bombarded him with questions ranging from operation PRISM to IRS targeting of conservative groups and government snooping on reporters.

“You said the FBI ‘did an excellent job,’ ‘did a thorough job,’ ‘don’t know what else we could have done.’ And according to the Russians, there’s a great deal more that could have been done,” Gohmert said.

“The FBI never canvassed Boston mosques until four days after the April 15th attacks. If the Russians tell you that someone has been radicalized and you go check and see the mosques that they went to, then you get the articles of incorporation, as I have, for the group that created the Boston mosques where these Tsarnaevs attended and you find out the name al-Amoudi, which you’ll remember, because while you were FBI director this man, who was so helpful to the Clinton administration with so many big things, he gets arrested at Dulles airport by the FBI and he’s now doing over 20 years for supporting terrorism,” the congressman said in reference to Abdul Rahman al-Amoudi, the founder of the American Muslim Council who is serving a 23-year sentence on financial and conspiracy charges.

“This is the guy that started the mosques where your Tsarnaevs were attending, and you didn’t even bother to go check about the mosque? And then when you have the pictures, why did no one go to the mosque and say, ‘Who are these guys? They attend — may attend here?’” Gohmert continued. “Why — why was that not done since such a ‘thorough’ job was done?”

“Your facts are not altogether –” Mueller began before Gohmert interjected, “Sir, if you’re gonna call me a liar you need to point out specifically where any facts are wrong.”

“We went to the mosque,” Mueller said. “Prior to Boston happening we were in that mosque talking to imams several months beforehand as part of our outreach efforts.”

“So were you aware that those mosques were started by al-Amoudi?”

“I’ve answered the question, sir,” the FBI director tersely responded.

“You didn’t answer the question, were you aware they were started by al-Amoudi?” Gohmert pressed.

“No,” Mueller replied.

The Washington Post’s Pinnochios on Terror Training

washpost-fact_check2 A letter to the Editor of the Washington PostBy Frank Gaffney:

Glenn Kessler recently awarded Rep. Louis Gohmert “four Pinnochios,” asserting that that Texas Republican legislator had “invent[ed] his own facts” about the Obama administration’s ties to Islamists.  Actually, Mr. Gohmert is on solid ground with his warnings about Muslim Brotherhood influence operations inside the U.S. government that have contributed to the dumbing-down of the FBI’s and other agencies’ understanding of the threat thus posed.  Such penetration has indeed contributed, among other things, to the purging of official training materials the Brotherhood and its fellow Islamists find “offensive.”

Mr. Kessler wrote that, “We are open to altering this ruling if more evidence is provided” in support of Rep. Gohmert’s allegations.  Happily, such evidence is readily available in a free, 10-part, online video-based course posted last year by the Center for Security Policy at MuslimBrotherhoodinAmerica.com.  This course offers six examples of individuals with documented ties to the Brotherhood who have served as officials of the Obama administration or as key advisers concerning “Muslim-outreach.”

For instance, the course chronicles the role one such individual, Mohamed Elibiary, appears to have played in the elimination of training materials used by the FBI that connected the proverbial dots between the Islamic supremacist doctrine of shariah, jihad and terrorism.  It also describes the role of Mr. Elibiary and others with Islamist associations in the adoption by the administration of guidelines that effectively require future training materials and trainers in “countering violent extremism” to be vetted by “community partners.” The latter seem to be drawn exclusively from Brotherhood front groups or their surrogates, which can only make matters worse.

Finally, Mr. Kessler faults Rep. Gohmert for pointing to the Obama administration’s elimination of words like jihadshariah and Islam from key documents.  While President Bush began this practice, it has been enshrined in the Obama presidency to the point where, for example, the 2009 National Intelligence Strategy and even the 2010 after-action report on the jihadist attack at Fort Hood make no mention of such terms.  Rep. Gohmert is right to worry that such willful blindness can only interfere with our government’s understanding of the dangers we face and its ability to protect us against them.

I hope that, on the basis of such additional evidence, Mr. Kessler will, indeed, “alter this ruling” and the serious disservice it does to one of the most knowledgeable and truthful Members of Congress, Louie Gohmert.

What Went Wrong With American Policy?

img_01

The worst lies are the ones we tell ourselves, and the most dangerous lies are the ones we tell ourselves about terrorism. The number one lie is that there no – is no Arab-Islamic terror. Lie number two is that Arab-Islamic terror has been defeated. And the third lie: Even though Arab-Islamic terror has been defeated, there was no way to foresee it because it never existed and it never posed a threat. Yes, I know it is not logical to hold all these three lies in your mind at the same time, but that is what has happened - Michael Widlanski

Über-Stealth Jihad in America

imagesCATXSCA4By Janet Levy

In June 2012, the “National Security 5″ — five members of Congress led by Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) — called attention to U.S. government infiltration by Muslim Brotherhood (MB) operatives.  Based on disturbing information from court evidence and documents,   correspondence, media reports, congressional briefings, and public statements, they found that individuals with questionable loyalty to the United States held high-level security clearances and worked in key national security positions.  Tragically for the security of the United States and the safety of its citizens, these five earnest members of Congress, armed with ample evidence, were roundly criticized by both Republicans and Democrats, and their request for investigations were ignored.

The five — Bachmann, Trent Franks (R-Arizona), Louie Gohmert (R-Texas), Tom Rooney (R-Florida), and Lynn Westmoreland (R-Georgia) — had sent letters to the inspectors general of the Departments of State, Defense, Justice, and Homeland Security, and to the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.  They identified specific individuals, organizational affiliations, and activities of concern conducted by Muslim Brotherhood operatives employed in various capacities in the U.S. government.  They cited links to the much-publicized Muslim Brotherhood mission statement that has called its work in America “a kind of grand Jihad to eliminate and destroy the Western civilization from within.”

All was ignored, despite the release five years earlier by the U.S. government itself of a list of several Muslim Brotherhood front organizations and their members across the United States, 300 in all, named as “unindicted co-conspirators” uncovered during the terrorism financing trial of the Holy Land Foundation, the largest such trial in U.S. history.  The inside influence operation in America is extensive and goes far beyond the federal government to include Islamists posing as patriots and becoming part of the Tea Party movement, Islamists infiltrating the 9/11 Truther Movement, and Islamists becoming part of the fight for “civil liberties” through organizations like the ACLU, to name just a few.

Muslim Brotherhood in America

Established in 1928, four years after Kemal Ataturk dismantled the Ottoman Caliphate, the Muslim Brotherhood today has grown into the world’s oldest and largest Islamist movement.  Its goal: to establish a global Islamic caliphate or government under sharia, or Islamic doctrine.  It seeks to dismantle all non-Islamic governments on earth and supports terrorism against the West and Israel.

The Muslim Brotherhood has spawned al-Qaeda, Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and various worldwide terrorist groups.  In the 1950s, it established a beachhead in the United States and today has over 5,000 front organizations from coast to coast, according to a former FBI agent and designated “Subject Matter Expert” on the Muslim Brotherhood and Islamic doctrine.

“The Project,” written in 1982 and discovered during a raid of the home of one of the organization’s international leaders by Swiss authorities following 9/11, is a multi-phased, long-term master plan for the cultural invasion of the West.  The discovery of two documents in 2001 and 2004 provided, respectively, evidence of an actual MB plot for the cultural invasion and Islamic domination of the West and a general strategy for the takeover of America.

The Holy Land Foundation trial in 2007 provided for release of the incriminating and significant document “An Explanatory Memorandum for the General Strategic Goal for the Brotherhood in North America.”  Written by a senior Hamas leader in the United States in 1987, it was discovered during a 2004 FBI raid of a Virginia house.  It outlines a plan of stealth jihad and gradual takeover and imposition of sharia.  It also cites explicit strategies, including but not limited to subversion of American organizations, shutting down of free speech, control of the language to exclude accurate descriptions of jihadist activities, ensuring that non-Muslims don’t study Islamic doctrine, forcing sharia compliance, and claiming victimization.

Happy Birthday Winston Churchill – You Are Still An Inspiration!

Winston-Churchill-150x150 Sharia Awareness Action Network:

By Scott Cooper

In the early 1930’s, Winston Churchill lost his seat in Parliament, and was largely unpopular because he warned of future troubles England would face if they failed to address the growing threat of Nazism in Germany.  Political Leadership ridiculed him, because they were still recovering from WWI, and they did not have the vision that Mr. Churchill did.

Mr. Churchill was a statesman, who wanted to prepare for the next generation.  He was disliked by the politicians who could only see through the next election cycle.

In many ways, Winston Churchill’s statesman like qualities can be seen in individuals who understand the Infiltration of The Muslim Brotherhood in America.  Five such individuals are Reps. Bachmann, R-Minn., Trent Franks,  R-Ariz., Louie Gohmert,  R-Texas, Thomas Rooney, R-Fla., and Lynn Westmoreland, R-GA, who were criticized last summer by GOP leadership simply for requesting an investigation into the background of State Department Employee Huma Abedin.  For example, John Boehner, before reviewing the facts of a letter stated that Michelle Bachmann was “pretty dangerous.”  John McCain, before doing any research called the effort for an investigation “Sinister”.  At one point John Boehner considered removing her from the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, for doing the very thing that committee is tasked to do!

Interestingly enough, Mr. Churchill actually warned about the Islamist Threat as early as 1899, and again in 1921, as was mentioned in an editorial celebrating his 138th Birthday today!

There are modern day Winston Churchill’s among us today!  Five were mentioned above.  Many political leaders who are willfully blind to the truth of the Islamist threat don’t like these statesmen.  Some like Allen West, who have an articulate knowledge on this threat have actually lost elections; however we at The Sharia Awareness Action Network believe these individuals will end up being loved like Winston Churchill, who after defeat and ridicule, was called back to London almost a decade later to lead his country through World War II.

Happy 138th Birthday Mr. Prime Minister Churchill.  You still are an inspiration to many!

C-SPAN Video: Andrew C. McCarthy on Muslim Brotherhood and U.S. policy

Former federal prosecutor Andrew C. McCarthy gave a press conference this morning on the Muslim Brotherhood’s influence operations on the United States government.

Ever since five Members of Congress – Representatives Michele Bachmann (MN) Louie Gohmert (TX), Trent Franks (AZ), Lynn Montgomery (GA) and Tom Rooney (FL) – were attacked by their colleague, Rep. Keith Ellison (MN), for asking the Inspectors General of federal departments to investigate evidence of Muslim Brotherhood influence operations within the U.S. government, there has been much heat and relatively little light on the subject.  The group that former House Speaker Newt Gingrich has dubbed “the National Security Five” has been subjected to character assassination, had its motives and integrity impugned and been ridiculed for acting irresponsibly, without any basis for its request to the IGs.  In fact, it has been the five legislators’ critics of both parties who have failed to do their homework.
Fortunately one of the Nation’s most knowledgeable and respected authorities regarding the Muslim Brotherhood’s “civilization jihad” – former Assistant U.S. Attorney Andrew C. McCarthy – has done his due diligence. In successive articles at National Review Online and PJMedia, Mr. McCarthy has explored some of the evidence that individuals with ties to the Brotherhood are working inside or advising the Obama administration.  He shares – and, with his characteristic rigor, further validates – the concerns expressed by Mrs. Bachmann et al. that American policy may be influenced by such officials, advisors and “liaisons” to the Muslim-American community.

Mr. McCarthy’s briefing addresses several examples of this phenomenon, including additional information developed in recent days concerning Huma Abedin’s associations with the Muslim Brotherhood.

McCarthy was an attorney in New York’s southern district and led the court trial against the Brotherhood figure known as the Blind Sheik, the mastermind of the 1993 World Trade Center Bombing.

Newt Gingrich In defense of Michele Bachmann, Muslim Brotherhood probes

By: Newt Gingrich

The recent assault on the National Security Five is only the most recent example of the fear our elites have about discussing and understanding radical Islamists.

When an orchestrated assault is launched on the right to ask questions in an effort to stop members of Congress from even inquiring about a topic — you know the fix is in.

The intensity of the attack on Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) as well as Republican Reps. Trent Franks of Arizona, Louie Gohmert of Texas, Tom Rooney of Florida and Lynn Westmoreland of Georgia is a reminder of how desperate our elites are to avoid this discussion. Yet consider this rush to silence questions in light of our history of unpleasant surprises during the Cold War.

Given all the painful things we learn about people every day and the surprises that shock even the experts (the head of the FBI anti-spy effort was a Russian spy, for example), you have to wonder why people would aggressively assert we shouldn’t ask about national security concerns.

Remember the shock in 2001 when we learned that FBI agent Robert Hanssen had been spying for 22 years — first for the Soviet Union and then the Russian Federation. This disaster came just seven years after the 1994 arrest of Aldrich Ames, a CIA counterintelligence officer who was a Soviet spy for eight years.

Why should we assume we’re in better shape today, when political correctness is passionately opposed to tough counterintelligence screening? It’s as though our leaders have forgotten every lesson of the 1930s about fascism, Nazism and communism and every lesson from 1945 to 1991 about communism.

We have replaced tough mindedness about national security with a refusal to think seriously and substituted political correctness and a “solid” assurance that people must be OK because they are “nice” and “hard working” for the systematic, intense investigations of the past.

I’m not suggesting that our primary threat is espionage. Our greatest problem is getting the wrong analysis, advice and policy proposals. It is the bias of the advisers and the disastrous policies they propose that are our gravest danger at this stage of the long struggle with radical Islamists.

Our elites refuse to even consider that the advice they are getting is biased, tainted, distorted — or just plain wrong.

The underlying driving force behind this desperate desire to stop unpleasant questions is the elite’s fear that an honest discussion of radical Islamism will spin out of control. They fear if Americans fully understood how serious radical Islamists are, they would demand a more confrontational strategy.

Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair warned last week, “The West is asleep on this issue.” Islamist extremists, Blair asserted in an interview with The Telegraph, seek “supremacy, not coexistence.”

A young John F. Kennedy wrote “Why England Slept” to try to understand how the leadership of a nation could ignore, repress and reject warnings about Adolf Hitler and Nazi Germany.

A future JFK may write “Why Washington Slept” to explain our current period. The case of the National Security Five would be a good chapter on the desperation of the elites to avoid reality and their determination to smother any wake-up call, which might make them come to grips with Blair’s warning.

RELEASE HUMA ABEDIN’S SECURITY FILE!

by JUDITH REISMAN

Michele Bachmann upset the press again. Strange. The news media love handsome movie stars who daringly expose government corruption; why does the press now circle the wagons to pretend that government corruption cannot really exist?

You see, Rep. Bachmann, R-Minn., along with her House colleagues Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, Trent Franks, R-Ariz., Tom Rooney, R-Fla., and Lynn Westmoreland, R-Ga., wrote the inspectors general of the departments of State, Defense, Justice and Homeland Security, and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, to ask for a national security probe of possible Muslim Brotherhood ties in the administration.

The concerns about possible Muslim Brotherhood influences riled the news mavens, and not only them but Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., and House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, who proceeded to censure Rep. Bachmann. Yet she and her allies questioned security procedures and levied no charges.

History shows it is entirely reasonable to be on guard against foreign influence in the U.S. government. After all, Harry Hopkins, a Soviet agent, was FDR’s closest White House aide, Soviet agent Lauchlin Currie was another top FDR aide, while Soviet agent Harry Dexter White was a senior Treasury Department official. And not until the release of the Venona papers in 1995 was it certain that the Rosenbergs were indeed Soviet spies. In fact, our U.S. State Department has a track record of security malfeasance, for example, having given high security clearances in the post-World War II era not only to Nazi scientists, but to hundreds of brutal Communists and Nazis known to have massacred millions.

So, why the hate-Bachmann rants? Perhaps her reply to Rep. Keith Ellison, D-Minn., documenting the naive governmental disregard for Islamic inroads holds a clue. There Rep. Bachmann quoted Hillary Clinton confiding to the secretary general of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) that “some old-fashioned techniques of peer pressure and shaming” could restrain Americans who might protest the OIC’s planned “Islamophobia” speech censorship.

Yes, the public deserves real “whistleblower” history.

For example, Otto Otepka, the U.S. State Department’s deputy director of the office of security in the 1950s and 1960s, was pressured and shamed for denying clearances to Communist sympathizers. John Loftus, former U.S. government prosecutor and Army intelligence officer, was pressured and shamed for revealing the State Department’s clearance of key Nazis. And what government agency protected the 9/11 victims in 2001?

Three months before 9/11, FBI Agent Robert Wright Jr predicted that the FBI failure to investigate domestic terrorists would cause more American deaths. Earlier, veteran FBI Agent Gary Aldrich had exposed the Clinton White House staff’s sabotage of his assignment, which was to conduct background checks of those seeking top-level government jobs– and there are many more.

Yet now our managed media obstructs public access to national security issues by singling out Rep. Bachmann for daring to inquire into dangerous lapses in government agencies! The hate speech against Bachmann counts on our forgetting the blood-soaked jihad revelries throughout the Muslim world after the cowardly massacre of almost 3,000 unprotected civilian Americans on 9/11.
