Patriots Take On the Muslim Brotherhood

Pro-Egyptian Military Supporters Rally At White HouseFront Page, by Daniel Greenfield:

“We are faced with an enemy whose goal is to conquer the world by subversion and infiltration or, if necessary, by open war.”

The speaker was Senator John F. Kennedy and he was discussing the Communist Control Act that he had co-sponsored. The Act did what had been previously thought impossible; it outlawed the Communist Party.

The latest bill to fight an enemy whose goal is also to conquer the world by subversion, infiltration and open war doesn’t have a Kennedy co-sponsor. Instead it has the two members of Congress who have fought the hardest to expose the Muslim Brotherhood; Michele Bachmann and Louie Gohmert.

The Muslim Brotherhood Terrorist Designation Act goes to the heart of the beast by designating the entity a Foreign Terrorist Organization. Plenty of Muslim Brotherhood affiliates and splinter groups, from Hamas to Al Qaeda, have already ended up on the FTO list.

But the Brotherhood has been able to keep spewing out new front groups that enjoy immunity.

The Act lists some of the Brotherhood groups and Brotherhood leaders already on the FTO list. These include the Kuwaiti Muslim Brotherhood and the head of the Yemeni Muslim Brotherhood’s political party who served as the coordinator for the bombing of the USS Cole. The Act documents, briefly, the Brotherhood’s history and some of its more recent involvements in worldwide terrorism.

From the original World Trade Center attacks to the recent Brotherhood attacks on Coptic Christians, the Act comprehensively makes the case that the Muslim Brotherhood is a violent terrorist group.

There really is no doubt whatsoever that the Muslim Brotherhood meets the FTO criteria. But so did Boko Haram and the State Department fought tooth and nail to keep an Al Qaeda-linked organization responsible for the murder of thousands off the list.

The Muslim Brotherhood is even more vital to their agenda than Boko Haram.

However the Muslim Brotherhood Terrorist Designation Act, if it passes, will force John Kerry to issue a report explaining why the Muslim Brotherhood should not be treated as a terrorist group.

The contents of that report could be guessed at ahead of time.

When challenged over the provision of F-16 fighter jets to Muslim Brotherhood thug Mohammed Morsi, Kerry had claimed that the US couldn’t just walk away from him.

A Kerry aide stated back in June that “We do not share the view of the Egyptian government about links between the Muslim Brothers and terrorist groups like ISIS” and argued that the Brotherhood was a political challenge, rather than a security challenge.

Nevertheless it’s important to have this discussion out in the open.

Americans who warned about the dangers of Communism were marginalized, but by the fifties a unanimous Senate vote had outlawed the Communist Party. JFK did not co-sponsor the Communist Control Act because he was a courageous leader, but because by then it was the safe thing to do.

The pace of world events had taken what had been seen as the obsession of a few cranks and turned it into a compelling national security issue that could no longer be ignored.

As the Middle East churns in the murderous grip of its Jihads, Americans are beginning to see a region under Islamic movements that resembles Eastern Europe under the Communist boot. As they look at the shifting populations in Europe, at the rise of honor killings and FGM, at mobs screaming hate at the Jews in Paris and at burning churches in Egypt, they ask themselves whether they want to live this way.

If Americans wake up to the threat of the Muslim Brotherhood, the way that they had once woken up to the threat of Communism, it will be because a handful of members of Congress, prominent among them, Michele Bachmann and Louie Gohmert, kept up the good fight.

Bachmann and Gohmert warned about the Muslim Brotherhood despite the lack of interest in the topic by much of the public, the media and even by their own party.

With them stand a handful of co-sponsors; Trent Franks, who has also stood up against the Muslim Brotherhood, and others like Peter Roskam, who took a stand against Hamas, Cynthia Lummis, who asked during the Benghazi hearings about the Brotherhood’s involvement, Kevin Brady, who tried to cut funding to the UN, Steve Southerland, who spoke at Florida State University in defiance of Muslim protests, and Doug LaMalfa, who condemned Obama for funding Hamas.

The Muslim Brotherhood Terrorist Designation Act would make it possible to go after anyone providing material support to the entity. It would make it possible to keep Muslim Brotherhood agents from entering the United States and to deport Muslim Brotherhood members already in the United States.

The Muslim Brotherhood Terrorist Designation Act may not pass and even if it does, it’s wildly unlikely that Obama, who won’t even stop funding Hamas which is already on the FTO list, would enforce it. But shifts are incremental. They come from the persistent commitment to advancing an issue.

Within a decade, Communism went from kindly Uncle Joe to a nightmarish monster. In 1937, 47% of Americans knew nothing of Fascism or Communism. By 1939, half the country was willing to choose either Communism or Fascism. In 1940, only 37% supported jailing or deporting Communists. By 1945, 48% of Americans saw improving relations ahead for the US and the USSR.

Less than a decade later, outlawing the Communist Party had become the default bipartisan position.

While the propaganda of the left is a powerful thing, it crumbles in the face of world events. The political battlefield is a shadow of the real world. When the world changes, it abruptly transforms everything.

In these moments of transformation, the patriots who have been fighting for the truth have the opportunity to step forward and take advantage of the shift. And those who blindly denounced them will join them, because when the consensus crumbles, they seek sensible point of security to cling to.

It is toward that day that the patriots do their work, placing brick on brick, laboring to build a pedestal on which the truth will be revealed.

There may come a time when the Muslim Brotherhood Terrorist Designation Act is remembered as one of the vital building blocks in the American awakening to the threat of Islamization.

Rep. Gohmert: Holder Will Turn Over Docs to Prosecuted Terrorists But Not Congress

download (92)Truth Revolt:

Following their combative exchange Tuesday during a House Judiciary Committee hearing, Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) denounced Attorney General Eric Holder’s “stonewalling” of Congress concerning requested documents, contrasting the Justice Department’s treatment of Congress to its willingness to turn over “massive amounts” of highly sensitive documents to prosecuted terrorists.

During the House Judiciary Committee hearing Tuesday, Gohmert scolded Holder for withholding documents requested in the Holy Land Foundation investigation, reminding the Attorney General that he had already been held in contempt for refusing to provide documents for the 2012 congressional investigation into the notorious “Fast and Furious” gun-running scandal. Angered, Holder scnapped, “You don’t want to go there, buddy!” but Gohmert would not relent. Gohmert posted a video of the exchange on YouTube

(transcript via BizPac):

Gohmert: I realize that contempt is not a big deal to our attorney general, but it is important that we have proper oversight.

Holder: You don’t want to go there, buddy! You don’t want to go there, okay.

Gohmert: I don’t want to go there?

Holder: No.

Gohmert: About the contempt?

Holder: (pointing his finger at Gohmert) You should not assume that that is not a big deal to me. I think that it was inappropriate, I think it was unjust. But never think that that was not a big deal to me. Don’t ever think that.

Gohmert: I’m just looking for evidence and normally we’re known by our fruits, and there’s been no indications that it was a big deal because your department still has not been forthcoming in producing the documents that were the subject of the contempt.

Wednesday, Gohmert commented on Holder’s “stonewalling” of the House Judiciary Committee, telling TruthRevolt that the administration’s refusal to work with Congress was stunning, especially in light of the Justice Department’s willingness to turn over “massive amounts of documents” to prosecuted terrorists:

The amount of stonewalling this administration does never ceases to amaze me. Since the Justice Department has previously turned over massive amounts of documents regarding support for terrorism to prosecuted terrorists, it is incredible that they will not provide them to Congress. Our Attorney General has also refused to fulfill his statutory duty to supply other subpoenaed documents to Congress which has resulted in his being found in contempt of Congress. But, as I keep noting, no matter how cynical you get here in Washington, DC, it’s never enough to catch up.

Texas Congressman: Terror Enclave Discovery ‘Appalling’

Ryan Mauro and MOAClarion Project, BY RYAN MAURO:

Rep. Louis Gohmert (R-TX), Vice Chair of the Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism and Homeland Security, says that the discovery of a terrorist enclave in Texas by the Clarion Project is “more than troubling—it’s appalling.” He criticized the “lackluster” response to the threat from Jamaat ul-Fuqra, also known as Muslims of the Americas.

His full statement to the Clarion Project is as follows:

“This lackluster response to the threat of terrorist involvement is more than troubling—it’s appalling, but typical.

“When this administration refuses to go to a Boston mosque to investigate radicalized attendees there such as Anwar al-Awlaki, Abdurahman Alamoudi, or the Tsarnaevs, but instead go to those mosques as part of their ‘outreach program’ to be better friends, then this country is in major trouble.

“It is always the federal government’s job to provide for the common defense against those who want to destroy us and our way of life. But this administration seems to think if we figuratively embrace snakes, they won’t bite us. The threat of terrorism is very real and should be treated as such, especially by our law enforcement.”

Rep. Gohmert is referring to the fact that the State Department has not designated Jamaat ul-Fuqra as a Foreign Terrorist Organization, even though it clearly fits the criteria. He also sees ul-Fuqra as being part of a pattern where the U.S. government has engaged in outreach with “moderate” Islamists.

Anwar al-Awlaki was a guest for lunch at the Pentagon shortly after the 9/11 attacks. It wasn’t long after that he became a senior member of Al-Qaeda (if he wasn’t already).

Abdurrahman Alamoudi was embraced by the Clinton and Bush Administrations and he traveled abroad on the State Department’s tab. He helped set up the Muslim chaplain program for the military and prisons. He was then arrested in 2003 on terrorism-related charges and later admitted to being a secret member of the U.S.Muslim Brotherhood.

The Tsarnaevs, the Islamist terrorists who carried out the Boston Marathon bombings, attended the Islamic Society of Boston, a mosque with strong links to the Muslim Brotherhood. Its radical indoctrination scared away one Muslim activist interviewed by Clarion.

Counter-terrorism expert Patrick Poole writes that Jamaat ul-Fuqra, also known as Muslims of the Americas, fits into the same pattern. The FBI and local law enforcement have engaged the group in similar outreach. Gullible Christians and politicians, like former Binghamton Mayor Matthew T. Ryan and former Owego Mayor Edward Arrington, have fallen for the group’s interfaith front, the United Muslim Christian Forum.

The Clarion Project’s identification of a Muslims of the Americas’ Texas terror enclave called “Mahmoudberg,” confirmed by declassified FBI documents that were never before seen by the public, has resulted in international media coverage.

FOX News Channel covered it on “Fox & Friends,” airing the segment multiple times and posting it on the homepage of FoxNews.com. The Blaze aired an entire episode (see below) of For the Record titled “Sleeper Cell” based largely on Clarion research and discussed the Texas camp on Wilkow. The Voice of Russia even reported on it.

The newly-released FBI documents, as well as Clarion’s videotape of women training at the Muslims of the Americas’ headquarters in New York, are smoking guns. Send our original article to your Congressman and ask that Jamaat ul-Fuqra be designated as a Foreign Terrorist Organization.

BY MARK FLATTEN:

A photo of President Obama in a turban and cartoons depicting the Prophet Muhammad that led to terrorist plots against the Danish newspaper that published them are among documents purged from FBI counter-terrorism training materials, new disclosures from the agency show.

The documents deemed unfit for inclusion in FBI classrooms range from slides showing verses in the Quran favored by terrorists to a video called “God Hates Lady Gaga” produced by a fundamentalist church best known for its intrusive anti-gay protests at veterans’ funerals.

Entire sections dealing with Middle Eastern history, Islamic culture and techniques for interviewing Muslims while being mindful of Islamic customs were removed.

So was a reference to Attorney General Eric Holder’s inability to define radicalism in a 2010 congressional hearing. The reason for that deletion was redacted.

The FBI began scrubbing its training materials in October 2011 after media reports that some of the presentations were deemed offensive or inaccurate.

Then-FBI Director Robert Mueller ordered the review under pressure from several Islamic-American groups. It was completed in March 2012.

Critics say the effort was driven by political correctness and made America more vulnerable by limiting the training FBI counter-terror agents receive to avoid offending Muslims.

“If you are going to be able to survive an enemy that wants to kill you and destroy your country, then you have got to know and understand your enemy,” said Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, a longtime critic of the FBI document purge.

“When you are in a war to save your country, your way of life, your liberty, then you need to know everything you can about those who are trying to destroy you,” he said.

“For the first time I am aware of in our nation’s history, we are refusing to take a good look at who wants to destroy us,” Gohmert said.

Almost 700 pages that were discarded by the FBI were released to the Washington Examiner in response to a Freedom of Information Act request filed in April 2012.

The disclosure provided no accounting of whether all removed materials were released or an explanation of why individual presentations were deemed unacceptable.

The Examiner compared the new documents to records released in May by the nonprofit watchdog group Judicial Watch, which obtained them through FOIA.

Those records included explanations of why individual pages were considered unacceptable, but not the actual pages themselves.

The Judicial Watch records make reference to about 475 separate document numbers that include purged materials. The agency disclosures to the Examiner list only about a third of those files.

However, since many pages are duplicated in multiple presentations, it is not clear how many documents were not released.

Gohmert, who previously reviewed the FBI files, said he believes large numbers of documents were not released to the Examiner.

The FBI refuses to release information about the Subject Matter Experts, or SMEs, who reviewed the training documents and decided which presentations had to be removed.

Congressional Delegation Declares Solidarity with Egypt Against Terrorism

1240239_10201825408419897_1709016101_nWASHINGTON, Sept. 8, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — Coptic Solidarity and its Egyptian secular allies and friends, are pleased to inform the public of the success of a visit by a bipartisan Congressional delegation to Egypt to strengthen the relationship between the American People and Egypt and to deepen the US-Egyptian alliance against terrorism and extremism. The delegation included Republican and Democratic Representatives Dana Rohrabacher, Michele Bachmann, Louie Golmert, Dana Edward, Steve King, Steve Stockman, Robert Pittenger, and Louis Franklin.

The delegation met with Interim President Mansour, minister of Defense General al-Sisi, and members of the cabinet, and visited the Pope Tadraous, spiritual leader of the Coptic Church. They had excellent meetings and assured Egypt’s leaders that a majority in the US Congress stands firmly with Egyptians against terrorism and extremism and reject the violence and radical ideology of the Muslim Brotherhood.

The delegation visited burned churches and expressed its horror at the damages and victims at the hands of Muslim Brotherhood militias and Jihadi Terrorists. Pope Tawadros told the delegation that “the community paid a dear price, dozens of churches were burned down, but if these sacrifices help in bringing freedom to Egypt, we consent.” The delegation assured the Pope that Congress would do all it can to support the Egyptian people, the Coptic community and to all civil society moderates in Egypt.

Three leaders from the delegation, Representatives Michele Bachmann, Louie Gohmert and Steve King held a joint Press briefer at the Egyptian American Chamber and declared their “full support to Egypt’s people, Government and revolution, in confronting the terror and oppression of the Muslim Brotherhood.” Congresswoman Michele Bachmann said “we are with you people of Egyptagainst the common threat, the Muslim Brotherhood. We have diversity of opinion in Washington, but be sure the people of Egyptare standing with Egypt against the Brotherhood terror.” Congressman Gohmert said “we were opposed to send military assistance to the Muslim Brotherhood regime before your revolution, but now we will work on getting all military assistance needed to fight the Jihadists and the Terrorists.” Congressman King said “we will work on an economic partnership between the US and Egypt and make sure you move forward to a stage of democracy and economic success.” The press briefer can be viewed here:

In Washington, Dr Walid Phares, Co-Secretary General of the Transatlantic Parliamentary Group and advisor to members of the US Congress and the European Parliament on Middle East affairs said “this delegation brought hope to Egyptians that the American public stands firmly with the democratic revolution, support the aspirations of the 30 million Egyptians who marched for freedom and is a partner in the struggle against Terrorism.” Phares said, “Egyptian Americans have worked hard to insure the success of a Congressional initiative to Egypt. The Coptic Solidarity Conference held in June on Capitol Hill was supported by many members of Congress, some of whom in fact were part of the delegation to Egypt. That Conference triggered several meetings and initiatives that inspired the formation of this delegation. The presence of Egyptian secular leaders at the Coptic Solidarity Conference inWashington also helped convincing Congressional leaders that what later happened in Egypt wasn’t a coup, but a real popular revolution.”

Coptic Solidarity will continue to help building positive relationships between the US Congress and Egypt as well as between European legislatures and the Egyptian people.

Coptic Solidarity is non-profit organization dedicated to leading efforts to achieve equal citizenship for the Copts in Egypt. For more information, contact Hal Meawad 240-644-5153, or info@copticsolidarity.org

SPECIAL FORCES VETERANS, MEMBERS OF CONGRESS DEMAND SPECIAL #BENGHAZI INVESTIGATION

benghazi_dead_afp (1)by MATTHEW BOYLE:

Several members of Congress joined representatives of the special forces military veterans and grassroots organizations on Tuesday to launch an effort to force the House to have a thorough, public investigation into the terrorist attack at Benghazi, Libya, on Sept. 11, 2012.

Rep. Frank Wolf (R-VA) has introduced legislation to create a special select committee to investigate both the terrorist attack and subsequent actions by President Barack Obama’s administration and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s State Department. Wolf’s bill has 161 co-sponsors. House GOP Leadership has not scheduled a vote on the bill.

Rep. Steve Stockman (R-TX) plans to harness the support for Wolf’s bill into a “discharge petition” that would force a floor vote on the bill. The petition would need to be signed by 218 members of the House.

“I’m going to describe what a discharge petition is because a lot of people have asked me questions exactly what it is,” Stockman said at the Tuesday press conference outside the U.S. Capitol building. “It’s to ask our leadership or actually demand from our leadership that we have a vote on Frank Wolf’s bill. [Wolf is] a congressman from Virginia who has a long history of being here and is articulate in demanding that we have an independent investigation.”

Stockman added, while gesturing to blown up photographs behind him of the four Americans murdered in Benghazi, “if Congress is silenced,” then “the blood of these folks behind us is on our hands.”

“We can’t be silent any more,” he said. “It’s been a year going by that we haven’t had justice. These folks demand justice. They cry out for justice. Silence is not an option any more. We’re going to challenge them. We’re going to have a discharge petition. I encourage you to contact your congressman to sign the discharge petition.”

Stockman expects most or all of the 161 members on Wolf’s bill to support the discharge petition, and at the press conference specifically said House Homeland Security Committee chairman Rep. Michael McCaul (R-TX) is supportive of circumventing House Leadership via the discharge petition.

Retired U.S. Air Force Col. Dick Brauer, the founder of Special Operations Speaks, said the combination of Wolf’s bill and Stockman’s discharge petition “would be done to fully investigate, something that has not been done to date, the national tragedy in Benghazi, where we lost four great citizens in Benghazi, Libya on September 11, 2012.”

“You will hear this from me and others today but we need your help and your friends’ help and everybody else’s to make this happen because it’s our one chance to do something before the anniversary of that tragedy which will occur about seven weeks from now,” Brauer said.

At the press conference, Brauer’s group unrolled an enormous scroll of a petition that includes the signatures of about a thousand special forces veterans joining the call for this investigation. “What you see on my left is a one of a kind. I don’t think it’s ever been done before: a four-foot-by-sixty-foot copy of the Special Operations Speaks petition that we sent to the House of Representatives on the Eighth of April asking for this select committee with subpoena power,” Brauer said. “The scroll is signed by nearly 1,000 special operations veterans, from the rank of Lieutenant General Three Stars down to every other rank you can imagine, Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, all of them passionate about what we’re trying to do.”

Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX), a congressman who supports the discharge petition, said at the press conference that he was asked by a reporter recently about Benghazi: “Gee, that was so long ago. Do we really want to pursue this now?”

“I told the reporter that when I was a judge handling felony cases, I had defendants ask me that question – ‘that was so long ago, do we really need to get into all this now?’ I can tell you when the blood of American patriots cries out, when the blood of individuals who were sent there into harm’s way, knowing how dangerous it was in Benghazi, and especially two former SEALs who were even told to ‘Stand Down’ but they wouldn’t have it,” Gohmert said. “They went to save lives and that’s exactly what they did. They even recruited another State Department man, a former army ranger, to go up there on the rooftop with them. What they knew from the first moment mortars were fired was that this was an organized, well-prepared attack on our people. We need to get to the bottom of it. Their blood cries out for that.”

Former Florida Republican Rep. Allen West concurred with the others there, adding: “If it’s more important to some people in Washington, D.C., to protect President Obama and to protect former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, I say shame on you. Every single member of the United States House of Representatives should have their name on this discharge petition. If their name is not on that discharge petition, you are complicit in this cover-up of what happened.”

Frank Gaffney of the Center for Security Policy said that if the truth is not uncovered in Benghazi, a terrorist attack like it is likely to happen again. “I believe that this is not likely to be an isolated incident,” Gaffney said at the press conference “If we don’t learn the lessons of what happened in Benghazi, how we got to there, what we did on the occasion and what has happened in the aftermath, you can be sure there will be other Americans who end with the same fate.”

Rep. Louie Gohmert’s Challenge to America

1005437_10201441479741920_1894926056_nBy :

It is not often one hears a member of the U.S. House of Representatives refer to the building of a global Caliphate in the Middle East — something which both Christians and non-Islamist Muslims in that part of the world take very seriously. The idea of a coming global Caliphate is hardly even on the radar for most members of Congress. But in his House floor speech broadcast on C-SPAN last Friday, July 19, 2013, U.S. Representative Louis Gohmert (TX-01) did just that.

Speaking for almost an hour, Gohmert warned that we were witnessing “the rise of a new Ottoman Empire in the Middle East, which, unfortunately, the Obama Administration has helped jumpstart.” He also declared that the rising of the people of Egypt against a radical Islamist Muslim Brotherhood government has caused the “grand scheme of building a great Caliphate” to run into a “huge problem.” The Texas Republican called for the United States government to once again be seen as supporting and defending those seeking true freedom and democracy.

Congressman Gohmert contrasted the so-called Arab Spring with the current “major, incredible, earthshaking revolution going on in Egypt.”  He assessed frankly the Obama Administration’s promotion of the Arab “Spring” and contrasted this with how the United States government and most of the mainstream media now appear to be at odds with those resisting the domination of radical Islam. In addition, Gohmert, who is Vice Chair of the House Judiciary subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism and Homeland Security, connected the dots between the Obama Administration’s foreign policy, United States national security, and the increasing persecution of Christians, Jews, and other religious minorities in Islam-dominated parts of the world.

According to foreign policy and terrorism expert Dr. Walid Phares, one House observer called Gohmert’s speech “the most powerful speech in the defense of reformers, democracy seekers, seculars, Christian Copts, and Muslim moderates in Egypt in the history of the US Congress, to date.”  But the congressman’s speech was even more than that. It was a defense of reformers in Egypt and beyond, and it was an education in foreign policy for those who have ears to hear.

Speaking of Libya, Gohmert said that it seemed clear that Ghadafi had stopped supporting terrorism after the U.S. took out Saddam Hussein in 2003. Libya, Algeria, and Mali were actually focused on combating Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) terrorism in the Sahel region. Gohmert recollected how they were told that the U.S. has “no national security interest in Libya” by then Secretary of Defense Robert Gates, but that President Obama decided, with the support of 57 Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) states, as well as NATO states that get oil from Libya, to use U.S. assets to take out Ghadafi.

“Consistency is very important in foreign policy, and yet we don’t seem to be very consistent in using our military powers to oust Ghadafi after he had had a ‘conversion experience’ and was doing what he could to help us fight terrorism,” said Gohmert. This was especially troubling after there was intelligence that Al Qaeda was backing rebels. “We knew that there were radical Islamists trying to drive Ghadafi out,” Gohmert continued, “and this administration did not pause long enough to get an answer to the question: ‘If we drive Ghadafi out, would we be more safe in America or less safe?’” Benghazi appears to have answered that question.

Gohmert warned of similar inconsistency in actions being contemplated in Syria. The congressman revealed that “it looked like initially these were not al Qaeda backed rebels in Syria, and if we had acted quickly enough, and had someone who did not vote ‘present,’ we could have helped rebels who were not al Qaeda rebels.” But the situation has degenerated, Gohmert lamented. “You have a tyrant leader on one hand, and you have radical Islamists – most of whom would like to destroy the United States as well – challenging him,” he declared. “Where in the world is the interest in spilling American blood or treasure in getting into Syria?” he demanded.

Returning to Egypt, Gohmert described President Morsi’s overreaches of power, the brutality towards the Copts and other Christians, and the drafting of an Islamic constitution in November 2012 that was boycotted by the Christians and liberal secularists alike. These led to the pro-democracy and freedom groupTamarud’s petition for Morsi to step down and for new elections to be held. Ensuring that Egyptian revolution statistics will be enshrined in the congressional record, Gohmert told how that petition garnered over 22 million signatures and noted the 33 million protesters at one demonstration. He exclaimed, “There has never been a demonstration of as many as 20 million people! But the people of Egypt rose up. They recognized that radical Islamists in charge of their country were not a good thing, even if the leaders of our country in the Executive Branch could not see the obvious.”

Gohmert also described the Egyptian people’s anger that their revolution was being described as a “military coup” and that “they were furious at how CNN seemed to take the side of the Muslim Brotherhood over and over.” Gohmert wanted the American people to know what really is happening in Egypt and its significance and so returned to the looming danger of a global Caliphate and how the “major, incredible, earthshaking revolution,” of moderate Muslims, Coptic Christians, and liberal secularists who oppose radical Islam “rose up in greater numbers than has ever arisen anywhere in the world in the whole history of mankind.” And in contrast to anything that U.S. foreign policy was doing, because of “these incredible, freedom-desiring Egyptians,” said Gohmert, “this grand scheme of building a great Caliphate, a new Ottoman Empire, ran into a huge problem.” The American people need to recognize, and be encouraged, not by the Arab winter that was originally called an Arab “Spring,” but by “the true Spring that is now happening in Egypt as moderate Muslims and Coptic Christians and caring secularists have arisen together and said ‘No!’ to radical Islam,” he said.

Gohmert displayed photographs showing the millions and millions of people who demonstrated for freedom. There were also examples of posters denouncing Morsi, the Muslim Brotherhood, radical Islam, and, thanks to U.S. foreign policy, posters condemning not just CNN, but President Obama and U.S. Ambassador to Egypt, Anne Patterson, as Muslim Brotherhood supporters and labeling Patterson the “New Supreme Guide of the Muslim Brotherhood.” Gohmert said that he did not support the signs nor think that they were correct, but that it was important to know what the people of Egypt’s perceptions are about the United States government, based upon our actions. “Of course, the United States government does not support terrorism,” he remonstrated, but “this nation, this Administration, has supported terrorists in Libya, in Egypt, and is now trying to get support for terrorists in Syria,” so it is understandable that Egyptians would accuse us of supporting terrorism.

The Fatal Fallacy of Muslim Outreach

Muslim_Brotherhood_Emblem (1)By Pamela Geller:

When the government engages in “Muslim Outreach,” what are its objectives?  To make us safe?  To undermine the vicious ideology that commands our conquest, subjugation, and oppression?  Or to appease and capitulate to these supremacist groups?  Clearly it is the last, and the consequences of such foolhardy and delusional efforts render us less safe, as in the case of the Boston Marathon jihad bombers, Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.

Those devout Muslims in Boston designed bombs to tear through the flesh and bone of babies, mothers, and families, and only a couple of brave politicians have shown interest in the motive.  Is that what we have become as a nation?  A people?

The Boston bombers have said they slaughtered Americans in the cause of Islam.

Yet it was only Representative Louis Gohmert (R-TX) who has shown any interest in the implications of this.  Gohmert is a hero, a singular man of courage.  He pressed FBI director Robert Mueller last month until finally Mueller admitted that the only contact that the FBI had with the Boston bombers’ terror mosque was “outreach.”

Outreach is a euphemism for submission.  With the Boston jihad bombings, the mosquerade of “outreach” achieved its goal of deceiving and “subduing” the dhimmi FBI.  Americans were murdered in cold blood, but the FBI’s “outreach” with the terror mosque was successful.

Gohmert, a member of the House Judiciary Committee, also blasted the FBI in April over how political correctness prevented investigators from honing in on the Boston bombing suspects.  The Obama administration scrapped all mention of jihad and Islam from all FBI training manuals.  That scrubbing came at the insistence of Muslim groups with which the FBI and other agencies were engaged in “outreach.”

And in Tennessee, under the guise of “Muslim Outreach,” Obama’s Department of Justice has vowed to criminalize postings on social media that offend Muslims.  So Muslim Outreach has become the apparatus for Sharia implementation.  U.S. Attorney Bill Killian led a seminar there recently about how civil rights laws could be used to criminalize criticism of Islam.  Will Killian vow to criminalize the vicious Jew-hatred commanded in the Quran?  Will Killian ban the hate speech in the Quran?  No, but he has vowed to criminalize postings on social media that criticize Islam or offend Muslims.

In January 2012, I received the first in a series of DOJ bundles in response to my FOIA request filed close to a year before that.  Specifically, I asked for “records relating to the meeting of the ‘Monthly Outreach Meeting’ with Muslim and Arab groups at the Civil Rights Division. Specifically, include lists of attendees at each monthly meeting, the agenda of each meeting and any minutes or summary prepared subsequent to each meeting. Please also specifically note the meetings at which the Attorney General of the United States attended.”

The principal impact of reading through the material was the sheer bulk of it.  Hundreds and hundreds of pages of e-mails, documenting nearly daily friendly contact, consultation, cooperation, and collaboration between the DOJ and Hamas-linked Muslim Brotherhood groups.  One thing was clear: the Muslim Brotherhood had fully infiltrated command and control at the Department of Justice civil rights division.

Louie Gohmert delivers major speech criticizing US policy of partnership with the Muslim Brotherhood

Rep. Louie Gohmert (TX-01) spoke on the House floor about the uprising and protests in Egypt over the Morsi administration. He talked about America’s national security abroad. He also weighed in on the United States image in the Middle East.

Walid Phares made this comment on his facebook page:

Congressman during speech in the Capitol: “CNN friend of the Muslim Brotherhood not of the Egyptian people”

A unique scene today was when member of the US House of Representatives Louie Gohmert from Texas blasted CNN for “reporting in favor of the Muslim Brotherhood and not about the millions of moderate Egyptians, seculars and Copts, who demonstrated in a real revolution on June 30.” According to several observers in Washington “Gohmert delivered the most powerful speech in the defense of reformers, democracy seekers, seculars, Christian Copts and Muslim moderates in Egypt in the history of the US Congress, to date.” One observer said “Gohmert has launched a moral revolution in US Foreign Policy.”

The PC-ification Of The FBI

images (77)Homeland Insecurity: If there’s any doubt the FBI’s gone soft on Islamic terror and may be overlooking more Boston-style plots, witness the bureau chief’s recent Hill testimony.

In a testy exchange with Republican lawmakers on the House Judiciary Committee, FBI Director Robert Mueller reluctantly acknowledged FBI counterterrorism training materials have been purged of references to “jihad” and “Islam” and that counterterrorism agents have been restricted from doing undercover investigations at mosques.

These outrageous policies likely contributed to the FBI missing signs of radicalization in the Muslim community — including that of the Tsarnaev brothers in Boston. The marathon bombers operated in plain sight of the FBI before killing three and wounding 260.

During the hearing, Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, blasted Mueller for concluding his agency had done an “excellent” and “thorough job” protecting the public and for saying he didn’t know what more could have been done to disrupt the marathon bombing plot.

Gohmert also read aloud from IBD’s recent editorial on the subject, “Obama’s Snooping Excludes Mosques, Missed Boston Bombers.”

Mueller confirmed that instead of investigating the militant Boston mosque where the bomber brothers were radicalized, the FBI partnered with it for political “outreach.”

Asked if he was aware the mosque was co-founded by a convicted terrorist cited by the Treasury Department as an al-Qaida fundraiser, Mueller sheepishly replied, “I was not.”

The same mosque also has graduated several other convicted terrorists. The FBI helped put all these terrorists behind bars, yet didn’t tie them back to the mosque. If the bureau had, it would have seen something rotten with the leadership there.

Dynamite interview with Gohmert on FBI investigation into the Boston Bombing Suspects

downloadLouie Gohmert, who has a way of putting things, manages to pack a lot of information into a short interview.

“Cair, which is cited by the fifth circuit court of appeals as a front organization for the Muslim Brotherhood, has forced our administration to purge materials that reference anything that might be offensive to the radical Islamists who want to kill us”

FBI Director Tells Congress They Didn’t Know About al-Amoudi Link to Tsarnaev Mosque

downloadPJ Media, By BRIDGET JOHNSON:

Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) slammed FBI Director Robert Mueller for not sweeping through Boston mosques after receiving tips about the radicalization of Tamerlan Tsarnaev, while the bureau’s chief told the House Judiciary Committee that his agency did visit the Chechens’ mosque for “outreach.”

Mueller appeared before the committee for a regular oversight hearing, but members bombarded him with questions ranging from operation PRISM to IRS targeting of conservative groups and government snooping on reporters.

“You said the FBI ‘did an excellent job,’ ‘did a thorough job,’ ‘don’t know what else we could have done.’ And according to the Russians, there’s a great deal more that could have been done,” Gohmert said.

“The FBI never canvassed Boston mosques until four days after the April 15th attacks. If the Russians tell you that someone has been radicalized and you go check and see the mosques that they went to, then you get the articles of incorporation, as I have, for the group that created the Boston mosques where these Tsarnaevs attended and you find out the name al-Amoudi, which you’ll remember, because while you were FBI director this man, who was so helpful to the Clinton administration with so many big things, he gets arrested at Dulles airport by the FBI and he’s now doing over 20 years for supporting terrorism,” the congressman said in reference to Abdul Rahman al-Amoudi, the founder of the American Muslim Council who is serving a 23-year sentence on financial and conspiracy charges.

“This is the guy that started the mosques where your Tsarnaevs were attending, and you didn’t even bother to go check about the mosque? And then when you have the pictures, why did no one go to the mosque and say, ‘Who are these guys? They attend — may attend here?’” Gohmert continued. “Why — why was that not done since such a ‘thorough’ job was done?”

“Your facts are not altogether –” Mueller began before Gohmert interjected, “Sir, if you’re gonna call me a liar you need to point out specifically where any facts are wrong.”

“We went to the mosque,” Mueller said. “Prior to Boston happening we were in that mosque talking to imams several months beforehand as part of our outreach efforts.”

“So were you aware that those mosques were started by al-Amoudi?”

“I’ve answered the question, sir,” the FBI director tersely responded.

“You didn’t answer the question, were you aware they were started by al-Amoudi?” Gohmert pressed.

“No,” Mueller replied.
