The Interfaith Scam Part 2

Daily Roll Call, by Cathy Hinners, April 23, 2017:

As you read in part one of the Interfaith Scam, Dawa is simply the instrument Islamists use to convince others they are just like us, and their god is the same as ours. Well, no it’s not, but that is the sole purpose of dawa. The book the Methodology of Dawa  written by the former dawa chief at the Islamic Circle of North America, (ICNA) Shamim Siddiqi does not hide its goal. On page 81 he clearly states the reason they (Muslims) are in America is to make their religion (Deen) dominant.

The following excerpts are again from the last few chapters in the “Methodology of Dawa.” Judge for yourself.

(pg. 117) Prophets’ day like Abraham’s Day, Moses’s Day, Jesus’s Day and Muhammad’s Day (Peace be upon all of them) will be organized and celebrated by the Islamic Movement on national scale with seminars and symposium all over the country. In these gatherings the religious leaders/scholars of Jewish and Christian communities will be invited to express their views freely. The speeches will be followed by an open discussion in a scholarly manner. This will provide a good opportunity to attract the Judeo-Christian community in great numbers and put the correct status of these Prophets before them in a historical perspective. It will be presented in a very academic atmosphere, with no aggressiveness at all under any circumstances. This discussion will crystallize the position of each prophet as the Prophet of Islam and the people will have a unique opportunity to understand Islam in its true historical background. This will pave the way to present Islam to these communities as a continuity of the message from the Creator, each Prophet proclaiming, “be obedient to God alone and shun the evil forces

(Batil/Taghut)” (H.Q. I6:36).

“Islam will thus be presented to them, not as something new but as the historical development of Judeo-Christian Islam which is neither traceable in the Torah nor in the Bible. The Qur’an will thus emerge as the only book of Guidance that bears the correct and up-to-date teachings of Islam and the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as the only model to humanity to follow. This will also provide the valuable opportunity to portray the life and teachings of all the previous prophets, whose life and teachings had been distorted in the Old and New Testaments, correctly. The version of the Qur’an about these prophets is the only authentic account of their lives now available to mankind.”

“Islam will thus be presented to them, not as something new but as the historical development of Judeo-Christian Islam which is neither traceable in the Torah nor in the Bible.”

(pg.119) Through Contacts With Churches, Synagogues, Colleges And Universities: These are very important public platforms that must be used for the spread of Dawa when available, either on the invitation or by offering the services of the Da’ee to these institutions for presenting the viewpoint of Islam on various issues of the time The religious dignitaries and the learned teachers of Universities and colleges will also be invited to speak in the arranged open Dawa programs of the Movement on various issues and topics of common interest. The speeches will be followed by open discussions and Question/Answer sessions. This will give an opportunity to the Da’ee to thrash out the issue and bring the discussion to the desired conclusion

“arranged open Dawa programs and bring the discussion to the desired conclusion”

(pg. 120) “Here in the educational institution, the teacher should be the top target. They are free, they have the time and they exert a lot of influence upon the students. If they are convinced about Islam as a way of life, they can motivate their students to that effect in great numbers. Teachers will therefore, be the special Dawa targets of the Islamic Movement”

“they exert a lot of influence upon the students”.

(pg128) “Service to humanity (to the common folk of the society) is perhaps one of the most effective means of communicating and delivering the message of Islam to the people.”

(pg.129) “Service to Elderly People There are about 60 million people who are above the age of 65 and retired from active service. Many of them are normally sick or incapacitated and confined to homes or elderly people care centers. They are a useful electorate”

“Reconciliation Service to Battered Families” This counseling service to battered husbands and battered wives will ultimately bring them nearer to Islam. They will all feel obliged to the teachings of Islam that changed their lives and made their matrimonial life happier and rejuvenated.”

Interfaith forums are nothing more than a ruse to disingenuously claim Muslims are tolerant and caring when it comes to other religions, and nothing less than a despicable  fraud.

Dawa is equal to another dirty deed of society, called drug dealing.  Supply those in need with what makes them feel good, and they become hooked.

The Interfaith Scam Part 1

If Ignorant Both Of Your Enemy And Yourself, You Are Certain To Be In Peril – Sun Tzu

Daily Roll Call, by Cathy Hinners, April 18, 2017:

Just because the word “interfaith” indicates faith, doesn’t necessarily mean yours, but you can be certain it does mean Islam. Interfaith is to our religious institutions like the words diversity and culture are to our Education system, a disguise called Dawa.  Dawa is the proselytizing of Islam, an obligation that must be performed by all good Muslims. What is a good Muslim?  To infidels or kafirs (all non-Muslims) it would be a pious person that ascribes to the doctrine of their religion, and is accepting, tolerant and respectful of fellow human beings. Not quite. A good Muslim will ascribe to their religious beliefs, which is summed up in the first pillar, the Shahada. “There is no god but Allah, and Mohammed is the Prophet”. But looking deeper, they believe Islam is meant to dominate, not be dominated or equal to any other religion.

In a document called the “Methodology of Dawa” written by Shamim A. Siddiqui and published in 1989, the true objective is indisputably clear. There must be an Islamic Movement in the United States, and Dawa is the path to that goal. The below excerpts are from this book, and are some of the more revealing ones.

From the Introduction of the book (pg. 20) “That is why, it is very important that a full-fledged Islamic Movement is established in the United States of America and elsewhere in Europe and Latin America to serve the greater interest of Islam, the Muslim world and humanity at large. This is a game of strategy. We have to find out and create new friends for Islam and its cause on the side of the enemy, inside and at the rear of the forces fighting against Islam and its emergence as a force anywhere in this world is a future reality of great magnitude.”

Interfaith is a game of strategy.

(pg. 21)” A Muslim has to put all that he has either to change the society into an Islamic society or state or be perished for it. A Muslim has no other choice”.

Society must be changed into an Islamic society

(pg. 58) “Acting upon the foregoing process, the Islamic Movement will produce the team of workers which is essentially required to meet the following needs:

  1. To accelerate the pace of Dawa Ilallah to a greater and greater number of people in order to bring more and more individuals to the fold of Allah(SWT) and increase the number of workers till the movement becomes a force to be reckoned with”

The movement becomes a force to be reckoned with.

(pg.59) “The workers of the Islamic Movement will have to mobilize a relentless war against immoral practices, drugs, pornography, alcoholism, racial discrimination, homosexuality, and other like these. They will have to educate the public opinion, warn the society about their horrible consequences and mobilize people’s opinion through meet-the-people campaigns”

Relentless war against immoral practices, such as homosexuality

(pg.59) “In the initial stage there may not be any opposition to Dawa work. For some time, the Islamic Movement of America may have some smooth sailing. But with the increase in Dawa efforts, in the number of activities and growth of the strength of the organization, the anti-Islamic forces will take notice of the multifarious activities of the Movement.”

The multifarious activities of the Movement

(pg.60) “Through this process, the Movement will penetrate deep into the hearts of the common folk, gain sympathy against oppression and generate a befitting counter-offensive campaign against the false propaganda of Batil. Simultaneously, the movement may also seek legal protection from the court for fundamental human rights to propagate what its adherents believe to be correct and to profess the same through democratic, peaceful and constitutional means”

Penetrate deep into the hearts of common folk, and seek legal protection from the court

(pg. 109) The Christian community of America will need a special approach to make them understand their misguided concept about Jesus (PBUH). Prophet Jesus (PBUH) was also a messenger of God, as others were. He was born without a father as a miracle of God. There is nothing spectacular in it, if we believe in God, in His absolute power and in His total control over the natural phenomenon. He can create anything just by ordering “Be” and “it is done.” He created Jesus without a father. He created Adam without a father or a mother, and Eve without a mother. They do not ascribe the attributes of God to either one of them. How then, can they profess Jesus to be the Son of God. It is illogical and quite absurd. Jesus was a Prophet and a man. He had all the human needs and weaknesses. He ate food for his existence, slept for rest and did all the other things a human being needs for his survival. By their misconstrued conception innovated by St. Paul, Christians have made Jesus (PBUH) into a “Human-God.” This is clear idolatry. Making partners with God is a sin. He will never forgive this sin.

Each of these notions that have been captured in the first several chapters are evidence to the agenda, ideology and their position on the superiority of Islam.  Interfaith = Dawa, not exactly the impression they believe all religions are equal. So to sum it up:

Interfaith is a game of strategy.

Society must be changed into an Islamic society

The movement becomes a force to be reckoned with

Relentless war against immoral practices, such as homosexuality (remember they have embraced the gay community)

The multifarious activities of the Movement

Penetrate deep into the hearts of common folk, and seek legal protection from the court

Misguided concept of Jesus, Professing Jesus to be the son of God is Illogical and absurd

So far, the facade the Islamic community portrays as being open and respectful of your religion is quite untrue.

FBI Succumbs To Islamists Once Again

Daily Roll Call, by Cathy Hinners, Feb. 29, 2016:

Terror organization CAIR (Council on American Islamic Relations) has once again managed to dictate how the FBI operates by demanding a new website for countering violent extremism be changed to include more white groups that Islamic.

Since when does the largest law enforcement agency in the United States give in to a group that is an arm of Hamas, has been labeled a terrorist group in the Middle East and is also Muslim Brotherhood? It is clear the FBI has been weakened and diminished and can no longer investigate or protect Americans.

The website, “Don’t be a Puppet” (https://cve.fbi.gov/home.html) is exactly that, a puppet!

fbi-pupppet-website

The website is designed to identify various groups, explain what they stand for and against and then make suggestions how to identify someone that may be leaning towards violence. Included in those suggestions is a link to a stop bullying website. Really? Terrorism equals bullying? What is disturbing is how the different groups are defined and separated.  No where under domestic groups are the Islamist organizations within the United States, such as Hamas, Muslim Brotherhood, Hizb-ut-Tahrir, or Al-Shabaab.

domestic

The FBI obviously does not want Americans to believe Islamic terrorists live amongst us. Another disturbing aspect of this site is how the most violent, vile Islamic group , ISIS, is described.

“ISIL is a highly violent extremist group that has killed thousands of men, women, and children, mostly Muslims. The group calls itself the “Islamic State,” but its members follow an extreme, fringe interpretation of Islamic law. They do not represent mainstream Islam, and the vast majority of Muslims are horrified by their actions. ISIL members work to enslave or kill anyone who disagrees with them and have taken over parts of Iraq and Syria”

How about ISIS has slaughtered thousands of Christians that have refused to submit to Islam. ISIS is not a “fringe interpretation of Islamic law”, ISIS in fact is following the doctrine of Islam as demanded by their prophet, Muhammad. If Muslims are so horrified by the atrocities, why do they not fight to destroy them? Not condemn them, destroy them.

482_largeThe Muslim community across America has done nothing to contribute to a safe, secure country, but rather continues to be divisive by embracing groups such as Black Lives Matter, opposing anti-terrorism material support bills and demanding thousands of Muslim refugees be admitted despite the lack of authentic vetting.  One of the biggest slaps in the face was a campaign by CAIR and the Muslim community which discourages Muslims from speaking to any law enforcement, but specifically the FBI.

Political correctness continues to strangle American law enforcement, as the leadership fails to allow its rank and file to be exposed to the truth about Islamic issues. Until citizens demand their elected and appointed officials refuse to succumb to this pressure, the infiltration will continue.  If you want the truth about Islam don’t ask a Muslim.

U.S Conference of Catholic Bishops to Meet With Muslim Brotherhood

20120315_bishops_CATHOLIC_RELIGIONFamily Security Matters, Feb. 15, 2016:

The latest group of religious leaders to succumb to the interfaith web of deception are the Catholics, but that isn’t even the real problem.  On February 17, at the University of San Diego, The U.S Conference of Catholic Bishops is participating in a panel discussion with the Muslim Brotherhood front group, the Islamic Society of North America.

So what does this mean? Essentially, the leaders of the Catholic church are throwing their congregations to the wolves. The Muslim Brotherhood has been designated a terrorist organization throughout the Middle East, but because their presence within the United States has been non-violent, they have been legitimized by the current administration, and even been looked upon by many as moderate. Make no mistake, they are not moderate, and certainly not peaceful.

These meetings aren’t new, but what is, is the aggression by which the Muslims are advancing their Dawa, (proselytizing of Islam) and the message it contains. Are the bishops within the Catholic church so politically correct they feel they must embrace the enemy or is it truly ignorance? Dawa is a strategic game played by Muslims to diminish and dismantle not only all other religions, but the societies and cultures as well. The Catholic leadership is a pawn in a game they will not win.

Strategy is of utmost importance to the Muslims conducting Dawa, especially when it comes to convincing the leaders of Christianity and Judaism that Allah is the only god. In a book called the Methodology of Dawah the author reveals their plan for America to become an Islamic State, which includes ridiculing the Trinity, the belief that Jesus is the son of God.

Chapter VII Page 85:

Making partners with God is totally in-conceivable and wrong. The concept of Trinity appears to be unreasonable and self- contradictory. We have to advance convincing arguments both verbally and in writing to fight against the dogma of the “Human-God” of Christendom, innovated by the Jewish conspiracy against Prophet Jesus. If a proper movement is launched on positive lines for propagating and presenting the concept of Tawheed, (oneness, unity) pinpointing the inherent fallacies of Christian belief about Jesus, opening dialogues with priests and pastors and enlightening them with the evil consequences of their misconstrued convictions about the life Hereafter, there is no reason why positive response will not be forthcoming, at least from the moderate Christians and make others shaky in their beliefs. The concept of Tawheed will make inroads to their minds and hearts only when the centuries-old dogma of the “human- God” is shattered and demolished.”

Not only are the Bishops of the Catholic church meeting with terrorist organizations, they are meeting with those that wish to destroy the beliefs of millions, and usurp the foundation with which America itself was founded upon.

Islam isn’t in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant. The Koran, the Muslim book of scripture, should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth.”  – Omar Ahmad Founder of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR)

CAIR, the Council on American Islamic Relations, is a sister organization to ISNA, the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA Dossier) with who Catholic bishops will be sitting next to in this conference. They have one goal. The return of an Islamic Caliphate: One god, One religion, and one government.  The notion any men of true faith would consider Islam to be peaceful, or willing to co-exist is frightening, but according to Bishop Mitchell T. Rozanski of Springfield, Massachusetts “As the national conversation around Islam grows increasingly fraught, coarse and driven by fear and often willful misinformation, the Catholic Church must help to model real dialogue and good will,” said Bishop Rozanski. “Our current dialogues have advanced the goals of greater understanding, mutual esteem and collaboration between Muslims and Catholics, and the members have established lasting ties of friendship and a deep sense of trust.”

Fear and willful misinformation?  Muslims assaulting the beliefs of millions of Christians throughout the United States by insisting Allah is the same god, is willful misinformation. Knowing our leaders trust the enemy is the fear.

The profession of faith in the Catholic church in part states:

I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ,

the Only Begotten Son of God,

born of the Father before all ages.

God from God, Light from Light,

true God from true God,

begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father;

through him all things were made.

For us men and for our salvation

he came down from heaven,

and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary,

and became man.

In chapter VII page 87 of the Islamic Methodology of Dawa (MethodologyofDawah) it states:

The Christian community of America will need a special approach to make them understand their misguided concept about Jesus (PBUH). He will never forgive this sin”

How does one gain a “deep sense of trust” from those whose writings reveal their true feelings and intent? How can Bishops believe that have formed “lasting ties of friendship” with Muslims when their doctrine, their holy book the Quran has at least 14 verses that a Muslim is not the friend of a Kafir (non- believer)

Sura 5:51 O ye who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians for friends. They are friends one to another. He among you who taketh them for friends is (one) of them.

One of the Hadiths, the traditions of Mohammed’s life states:

May Allah curse the Jews and the Christians . . . for they make places of worship out of the prophet’s graves”

The only willful misinformation comes from the mouths of the Islamists which is known as Taqiyyah, the art of deception, permissible in Islamic law. Perhaps leaders of all faiths should trust and believe those in their own flock before embracing the enemy.

The ISIS-Al Azhar-Murfreesboro Imam Connection

Daily Roll Call, by Cathy Hinners, Nov. 29, 2015:

In troubling times such as these, where violence and lawlessness are rampant, a lot of people turn to their faith and sometimes the faith of others to console them.  Despite so much of the turmoil  being created by Muslims across the globe, Christians and Jews turn to Imams for answers .

It is during these interfaith forums, Muslims get their chance to plant a seed of doubt that Islam in its truest form is violent. Christians and Jews then come away thinking Islam is in fact just like the Imam said it was. Peaceful.

One Imam in particular is a pro at interfaith fraudulence, Imam Ossama Bahloul of the Islamic Center of Murfreesboro. Bahloul, not only has been a host to Muslim Brotherhood /Hamas members as speakers in his mosque, but is a graduate of Al-Azhar University in Cairo Egypt. Bahloul even graduated 4th in a class of over 200 with honors in his field of study, Dawa. ( the proselytizing of Islam). Pretty prestigious right? Not quite.

In an article published on Nov 25, in the Middle East Forum online magazine,  (http://www.meforum.org/blog/2015/11/isis-byproduct) Islamic scholar and himself a graduate of Al-Azhar,  Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah Nasr revealed ISIS is a by product of Al-Azhar programs. Asked why Al Azhar, which is in the habit of denouncing secular thinkers as un-Islamic, refuses to denounce the Islamic State as un-Islamic, he stated: It can’t [condemn the Islamic State as un-Islamic]. The Islamic State is a byproduct of Al Azhar’s programs. So can Al Azhar denounce itself as un-Islamic? Al Azhar says there must be a caliphate and that it is an obligation for the Muslim world [to establish it]. Al Azhar teaches the law of apostasy and killing the apostate. Al Azhar is hostile towards religious minorities, and teaches things like not building churches, etc. Al Azhar upholds the institution of jizya [extracting tribute from religious minorities]. Al Azhar teaches stoning people. So can Al Azhar denounce itself as un-Islamic?

Nasr further stated: The Islamic State is only doing what Al Azhar teaches…

Imam Ossama Bahloul from the Islamic Center of Murfreesboro is  a graduate of a University that espouses the return of the global caliphate, killing apostates, upholding jizya, and teaches stoning people is acceptable. Bahloul recently participated in a forum in Nashville on  the truths and myths of Sharia Law. So which face did the Imam wear that night?

bahloul

Bahloul isn’t the only “religious” figure  in Tennessee that graduated from ISIS University, oops, Al-Azhar University. Former Imam Mohammed Ahmed from the Islamic Center of Nashville also hails from there. Ahmed, now Mohammed Al Sherif, was the same Imam that escorted high school students from Hendersonville on a tour of the Nashville Mosque. He also is the same Imam that during a Religious Communicators Council convention explained how acceptable it was for female protesters to be forcefully tested for their virginity during the Arab spring protests.

Perhaps those that seek comfort in attending interfaith forums should know the University their favorite Imam attended was exposed for handing out books filled with Anti Christian sentiment, including calling Christianity a “failed religion” and the Bible sows “seeds of weakness”.

What will it take for the interfaith believers to understand they are victims of fraud? As the old saying goes, “fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me”.

The Islamic Threat Is Present in the U.S.

PJ Media, by Tyler O’Neil, September 29, 2015:

WASHINGTON – Three American women who have been branded as “anti-Muslim” by the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) spoke out against the threat of Islamism in the United States at the Family Research Council’s Values Voter Summit on Saturday. Contrary to the rhetoric SPLC and others, these women are not “Islamophobes.”

“Americans need to know the threat is here. So many people, when I say ‘the Muslim Brotherhood,’ they say ‘that’s an Egypt problem.’ It’s not — it’s in every state of this country,” declared Cathy Hinners, a law enforcement instructor and founder of the website Dailyrollcall.com.

Hinners was joined by Clare M. Lopez, an intelligence expert with a focus on the Middle East, and Sandy Rios, director of government affairs for the American Family Association and Fox News contributor. All three women were attacked in the SPLC’s “Women Against Islam” pamphlet, which has been described by many conservative outlets as a “hit list.”

“This is dangerous because there is a basic principle of Islam which can turn every Muslim into a potential vigilante,” Lopez declared, citing the doctrine that Muslims must “forbid the evil and enjoin the good.” She, Rios and Hinners see the SPLC “hit list” as marking a target on their backs. When Rios declared, “By the way, we all carry,” the crowd erupted in applause.

Islamism in the United States

“Tennessee is ground zero for Muslim activism in the United States,” Hinners declared. In a separate interview with PJ Media, she explained the impact of Islamist activism in the schools.

Hinners specifically mentioned one recent “explosive discovery” in this Bible Belt state. “In one of the counties in Tennessee, we learned that children in seventh grade are saying the Shahada — that there is no God but Allah and that Mohammed is the messenger — in class,” she explained. While the teacher led the students to say this “under the guise of social studies,” Hinners argued that “there is no historical value in saying a prayer or the Islamic profession of faith.”

This is a serious issue because the Shahada is considered the most important part of converting to Islam — it is a public declaration that the speaker embraces the faith, rejects the “polytheism” of Christianity and follows Mohammed as the prophet of Allah.

Hinners also mentioned textbooks with subversive themes and instruction materials provided by the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), an organization with alleged ties to Hamas and other terrorist groups. Tennessee’s pacing guide also gives a disproportionate weight to Islamic civilization — 17 days — as opposed to the Roman Empire, which is only given four days of teaching. “We’ve been told by some teachers that they had to skip that part because they don’t have enough time for social studies, so Islam took priority over the Roman Empire.”

Hinners also argued that there are many other groups with terrorist connections here in the U.S. She mentioned the American Muslim Advisory Council (AMAC), arguing that there are “little offshoots” carrying “the ideology of the Muslim Brotherhood, usually run by supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood.”

Islam as a Threat — A Political Religion

“Islam is not like Buddhism or Judaism or Christianity — it is a political system with religious elements,” Rios declared. In a post-conference interview with PJ Media, she clarified her position by contrasting Islam with Christianity.

“Speaking theologically, there could not be more difference between the two faiths,” Rios said. “The God of Christians gave His life to redeem, while Mohammed’s Allah is a god who demands vengeance and blood.” The Fox News contributor added that “Christianity is based on the ability to choose,” while “with Allah, it’s like ‘believe or die.’”

Defending this characterization of Islam, Hinners argued that “Islam was peaceful at first — on page one and two it is — but Mohammed turned violent.” Lt. Gen. (Ret) William G. Boykin, executive vice president at the Family Research Council (FRC), agreed. Boykin explained that the doctrines of “progressive revelation” and “divine abrogation” mean the later, more militaristic passages in the Q’ran supersede the peaceful passages at the beginning.

The military side of Islam explained why the building of a mosque at “ground zero” — the site of the September 11, 2001, attacks in New York City — proved so controversial. “In the days of Mohammed, mosques were military buildings, and it is considered a victory when one is built,” Hinners explained.

Lopez said mosques are still used as military buildings in Islamic countries today. “American troops in the Middle East were surprised to be shot at from the minarets of mosques,” Lopez explained, because the troops thought mosques were merely religious buildings like Christian churches. The gunfire and weapons often found stockpiled in the religious centers proved otherwise.

Islam and Patriotism

During a Q&A session, Boykin was asked why he supports religious freedom for Christians, but not for Muslims. He responded that he supports religious freedom for everyone, but “no religion that threatens our Constitution can be tolerated under that constitution.”

Many Muslims, in advocating for the application of Sharia law (the Islamic legal code) in the United States, are de facto opposing the American constitution, Boykin argued. Rios wholeheartedly agreed.

“Sharia law is the part of Islam that demands obedience, that is brutal to women, enjoins female circumcision, honor killings, and throwing homosexuals from high buildings,” Rios explained.

Practices like female circumcision (forcing a woman to have her clitoris mutilated or removed in order to make her less likely to sleep around) and honor killings (a family putting their daughter to death for various offenses like marrying outside Islam) are rightly condemned as misogynistic under American law. The horrific murder of homosexuals is obviously also illegal in the United States.

Dr. M. Zuhdi Jasser, founder and president of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy (AIFD), is an outspoken Muslim patriot, and has supported statewide bans on Sharia law. Jasser and his group represent Muslims who “advocate for the preservation of the founding principles of the United States Constitution, liberty and freedom, through the separation of mosque and state.”

AIFD’s website declares that the organization is dedicated to “directly confronting the ideologies of political Islam and openly countering the common belief that the Muslim faith is inextricably rooted to the concept of the Islamic state (Islamism).”

While the panelists might be expected to disagree with Jasser, claiming that Islam is inescapably political, they had nothing but outspoken praise for the man. “He is a Muslim who has proven his loyalty to this country, and he is worthy of our respect. We need more like Zuhdi Jasser,” Rios declared. “He seems to be a really good man,” Hinners added.

“M. Zuhdi Jasser is a brave man, he is a patriot,” Boykin declared. “But how many M. Zuhdi Jassers do you know?” he asked, pointedly.

As illustrated by their praise for Jasser, the panelists do not consider all Muslims to be enemies of the United States, only those who advocate for what Jasser calls “political Islam” or “Islamism.” Lopez, Rios, Hinners and Boykin are not “anti-Muslim,” as SPLC claimed, but merely anti-Islamist.

In the Middle East, Support the Kurds

This support for American-friendly Muslims also extended to the Kurds, an ethnic group in northern Iraq and the surrounding area, which is currently fighting the Islamic State (ISIS).

“I would never advocate arming Muslim groups, but I would arm the Kurds,” Boykin declared. “I don’t understand why Obama refuses to do so.”

Hinners, who constantly warns about the Islamist influence in her area of Tennessee, called on Americans to reach out to Kurds living in the United States and offer assistance. “There are 1,100 Kurds in the Nashville area. Look for Kurds over here to help the Kurds in the Middle East,” the law enforcement instructor said.

Even so, the Kurds are a minority in the Middle East, and the panelists argued that the region is at war because of conflicting Islamist political ideologies.

“I see the conflict in the former Iraq and former Syria as an intra-Islamic conflict between Sunnis and Shi’ites,” Lopez added. Sunnis and Shi’ites, as the two largest denominations of Islam, have control in various parts of the Middle East. They are divided by the issue of the rightful caliph — the successor to the prophet Mohammed and head of the Islamic state — after Mohammed died.

While a vast majority of Muslims are Sunni, Iran is a Shi’ite state and has emerged in a very dominant position in the Middle East. While the majority of Iraqis are Shi’ite, Saddam Hussein was a Sunni and oppressed his own people. “When the U.S. attacked Iraq, we broke the balance between Sunni and Shi’ite,” allowing the Shi’ites to take the upper hand, Lopez explained.

These politico-religious divisions behind the warfare backed up the panelists’ claims that Islam is largely a political religion. But their support for Jasser and the Kurds also showed their belief that Islam does not necessarily have to be tied to a state ideology.

Contrary to the claims of SPLC and others, these panelists are not “Islamophobes” or “haters,” but Americans weary of a politico-religious ideology opposing their way of life. It’s high time others listened to their concerns and realize the dangers of Islamism.
