How CAIR Shaped San Diego’s Public Schools

In April 2017, the San Diego Unified School District (SDUSD) School Board approved a plan to address anti-Muslim bullying in schools. Beginning this fall, students will “learn more about [Islam] in social studies….Schools…will review and vet materials related to Muslim culture and history…and provide resources and material for teachers…and…promote a more positive image of Islam.” The driving force behind the plan, however, is the Council on American-Islamic Relations – San Diego (CAIR-SD), which has a history of ties to radical Islamists.

CAIR-SD and the SDUSD School Board have a long-standing relationship. In November 2015, the Board commended CAIR-SD for “ten years of teaching students to accept and honor religious and cultural differences,” as well as its partnership with “the District’s Office of Race/Human Relations and Advocacy,” and its involvement “in mediating situations…that involve discrimination.”

In July 2016, Hanif Mohebi, CAIR-SD’s Executive Director, lobbied the School Board to adopt an official anti-Muslim bullying plan. Over the past six months, Mohebi has lectured students and teachers on “Islamophobia” at more than a dozen District schools. At these sessions, Mohebi has distributed a pamphlet offering to help Muslim students “file a complaint” against school administrators and to provide students with “resources about your faith…(to)… share with administrators and teachers.” But should Mohebi and CAIR-SD be teaching students their particular brand of Islam?

On social media, Mohebi has encouraged his Facebook followers to support the “cause” of Khalifah al-Akili, a prominent Taliban sympathizer imprisoned for felony possession of a firearm. To “FBI snitches” who “frame our community members unjustly,” he warns, “KNOW that we are watching you.”

In addition, he has circulated videos attacking homosexuality, written an article comparing ISIS to Israel, and published a number of posts attacking “Jewish colonial settlers.”

Other CAIR-SD leaders have posted inflammatory rhetoric on social media. CAIR-SD official Lallia Allali has lamented the deportation of Sami Al-Araian, a leader of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad in North America.

CAIR-SD has a history of promulgating Islamist ideology and giving platforms to extremist clerics, including Yasir Qadhi, who has said “…this is a part of our religion to stone the adulterer and to chop the head off of the sorcerer and so many other things, and to kill, by the way, the homosexual – this is also our religion.”

CAIR-SD’s tireless lobbying against “Islamophobia” has facilitated its inroads into SDUSD schools. CAIR officials, particularly Mohebi, whose ties to the Board date back at least seven years, appear to enjoy excellent working relationships with Board members and school officials. SDUSD School Board members Kevin Beiser and Sharon Whitehurst-Payne have spearheaded efforts to create a District-wide anti-Muslim bullying plan. Beiser has endorsed the Forum on Religious Freedom, a CAIR-SD organization designed “to support the Muslim Community against Bigotry and Islamophobia.” At a 2016 SDUSD-sponsored diversity event, Nawabi published photos of him with Beiser, SDUSD Superintendent Cindy Marten, and School Board members Whitehurst-Payne and Michael McQuarry.

Beyond its ties with the School Board, CAIR-SD has relationships with at least two other District employees. Kamal Boulazreg, an SDUSD psychologist, and Agin Shaheed, SDUSD’s Race/Human Relations Manager, spoke at a 2014 “Stop Bullying” event sponsored by CAIR-SD and the Islamic Center of San Diego, a mosque with ties to two 9/11 hijackers. In fact, CAIR-SD and Shaheed have an official working relationship, and CAIR-SD’s website features a lengthy, hagiographic profile of him.

In light of CAIR’s extremism, in May, the Freedom of Conscience Defense Fund, on behalf of a group of District parents, filed a federal lawsuit to halt the implementation of CAIR’s program. The lawsuit itself may not cool the warm relationship between SDUSD and CAIR-SD, an organization that is not the benign, tolerant, civil rights group it claims to be.

After all, SDUSD does not seem to fazed by CAIR’s notorious designation by federal prosecutors as an unindicted co-conspirator during the Holy Land Foundation federal terrorism case, nor CAIR-SD’s history of promoting hate speech. As such, and barring a court ruling against the School District, CAIR-SD’s agenda has become the District’s.

Rebellion grows against Muslim indoctrination in schools

From coast to coast, parents are rebelling against what they describe as Islamic indoctrination of their children in public schools.

In Florida, for example, parents are protesting a newly approved textbook they say whitewashes Islam’s violent history of conquest and subjugation, while in San Diego, an angry father confronted the city’s school board about its partnership with the controversial Council on American-Islamic Relations in an “anti-bullying” program.

The Brevard County School Board in Florida has revised a history textbook that had been condemned by some parents for its selective treatment of Islam, but the new edition still has its critics, reported WKMG-TV in Orlando. The board decided Tuesday night by a 5-0 voted to adopt the ninth-grade 2018 World History book published by Pearson Prentice Hall.

The local chapter of the activist group ACT for America pressed for the revision in an effort “to protect against indoctrination,” arguing the section about Islam ignored the religion’s “true history” and painted Muhammad and the treatment of women favorably.

ACT for America’s local leader, Roger Gangitano, told WKMG the new edition is an improvement, but the “problem remains that Islam is being portrayed in a far more favorable light than what would be 100 percent accurate,” with parents calling it partially “incorrect,” “incomplete” and “slanted.”

The Council on American-Islamic Relations, or CAIR, is also engaged in the Florida dispute. But the FBI cut off relations with the group after it was designated by the Justice Department as an unindicted co-conspirator in a terror-funding plot. Later, an Arab Gulf state designated CAIR as a terrorist organization.

Nevertheless, Rasha Mubarak, Orlando Regional Coordinator of the Florida chapter of CAIR, entered the fray, asserting ACT is “using our students for their one intention and that is to push their anti-Islamic agenda.”

Meanwhile, in an initiative to “combat Islamophobia and the bullying of Muslims students,” the San Diego Unified School District, as WND reported, has formed a partnership with CAIR.

In a late April school board meeting, the Blaze reported, parent Christopher Wyrick confronted the San Diego school board about the Islamic instruction attached to the program and its relationship with the Islamic group.

CAIR has sued the authors of a WND Books exposé, “Muslim Mafia: Inside the Secret Underworld That’s Conspiring to Islamize America,” which documented the group’s radical ties. A trial in the case is expected to commence this fall.

Wyrick told the board he’s held “many titles” over the years, but “one of them I will not accept is ‘infidel.’”

“There has been an argument over the years to keep religious beliefs out of school, especially any that happen to be associated with Judaism or Christianity,” he said. “So at what point did you decide that it was OK to teach my children about Islam?”

He asked how the board could “justify spending our tax dollars on a program that’s meant to educate our kids on the Muslim religion specifically, yet only accounts for a very, very small portion of the harassment reported?”

He asked how CAIR, which has “ties to terrorists like Hamas,” could have an “ear on this board” and “implement its propaganda and hate speech into our schools in an effort to brainwash the minds of the young.”

Earlier in the meeting, Board Trustee Kevin Beiser said the Islam policy is a step toward protecting all children from bullying, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported.

“We will not allow Muslim students in San Diego schools to be spit on,” Beiser said.

The San Diego paper said he was shouted down by those in attendance.

“All students should be safe,” one person said, the Union-Tribune reported, and another added: “What about the Jews?”

‘The true faith, Islam’

Last week, a Groesbeck, Texas, couple moved their sixth-grade daughter to a new school after they discovered her history homework assignment on Islam.

In one assignment, students were asked to list the five tenets of Islam required for salvation, reported KWTX-TV in Waco, Texas.

“It’s just they’ve taken God and other things out of the schools but yet they’re going to push this in there secretly to me and I don’t think it’s right,” the mother said.

In late March, as WND reported, a middle school in Chatham, New Jersey, was using a cartoon video to teach the Five Pillars of Islam to seventh-grade students, prompting two parents to obtain legal services to fight the school district, which has ignored their concerns.

Seventh graders in this school are taught: “May God help us all find the true faith, Islam.”

Also taught in the video is the Shahada, which is the Muslim prayer of conversion “There is no god but Allah and Muhammad is his messenger.”
The parents say no other religion is taught nearly to this level of detail in the “world cultures and geography” class.

Teaching the five pillars of Islam also created an uproar in Summerville, South Carolina, and in Loganville, Georgia, last year.

WND also reported in March a high school in Frisco, Texas, has set up an Islamic prayer room specifically for Muslim students to pray on campus during school hours. The same type of prayer rooms have been set up in high schools in St. Cloud, Minnesota, and other school districts.

In 2015, parents in Tennessee asked the governor, legislature and state education department to investigate pro-Islam bias in textbooks and other materials.

A complaint by the group Proclaiming Justice to The Nations said a presentation on Islam included “multiple misleading statements including the glorification of jihad against infidels as a reason why many easily convert to Islam.”

It also featured the Shahada, the Muslim prayer of faith, and “mentions nothing about the historically negative aspects and actions of the religion, including the 9/11 attacks.”

‘Historical revisionism’

WND reported in 2012 ACT for America conducted an analysis of 38 textbooks used in the sixth through 12th grades in public schools and found that since the 1990s, discussions of Islam are taking up more and more pages, while the space devoted to Judaism and Christianity has simultaneously decreased.

The late conservative activist Phyllis Schlafly wrote in 2012 of a double standard in public school teaching.

“Drop Christianity down the memory hole but give extensive and mostly favorable coverage to Islam,” she wrote. “Even the mainstream media have provided extensive coverage of the steady stream of court cases and threatening letters from the American Civil Liberties Union aimed at removing all signs of Judeo-Christianity from public schools.”

Textbooks, she said, “generally give a false description of women’s rights under Islam.”

“The books don’t reveal that women are subject to polygamy, a husband’s legal right to beat her, genital mutilation and the scandalous practice misnamed ‘honor killings,’ which allows a man to murder a daughter who dares to date a Christian,” she said.

“Slavery is usually a favorite topic for the liberals, but historical revisionism is particularly evident in the failure to mention the Islamic slave trade. It began nearly eight centuries before the European-operated Atlantic slave trade and continues in some Muslim areas even today.”

In 2009, Gilbert T. Sewall, director of the American Textbook Council, a group that reviews history books, told Fox News the texts were sugarcoating Islamic extremism.

“Key subjects like jihad, Islamic law, the status of women are whitewashed,” Sewall said.

Sewall said publishers have downplayed Islamic connections with terrorism.

“The picture is incomplete … and the reason for this is that publishers are afraid of the Islamist activists. They don’t want trouble,” he said.

Sewall noted the text “World History: The Modern World,” published by Pearson Prentice Hall, doesn’t mention the religion of the 9/11 hijackers, simply calling them a “teams of terrorists.”

Jihad about ‘funding medical research’?

Also in 2009, WND reported the middle school textbook “History Alive! The Medieval World and Beyond,” published by Teachers’ Curriculum Institute, said an Islamic “jihad” is an effort by Muslims to convince “others to take up worthy causes, such as funding medical research.”

And even at its most violent, “jihad” simply is Muslims fighting “to protect themselves from those who would do them harm,” says the book.

A parent whose child has been handed the text in a Sacramento-area district said at the time in a letter to WND noted that seven of the book’s chapters deal with Islam or Muslim subjects.

In 2006, WND reported a school in Oregon taught Islam by having students study and learn Muslim prayers and dress as Muslims. A parent told WND her 13-year-old son was being “indoctrinated that Islam is a religion of peace, and being dressed up as a Muslim, being taught prayers, and scriptures out of the Quran.”

“I just don’t understand the ban on Christianity but Islam has free rein,” she said.

WND reported in 2003 a prominent Muslim leader who eventually was convicted on terror-related charges helped write the “Religious Expression in Public Schools” guidelines issued by President Clinton during his tenure in office.

Abdurahman Alamoudi, who was president of the American Muslim Council and a supporter of Hamas and Hezbollah, worked with President Clinton and the American Civil Liberties Union when the guidelines that later were used by a federal judge to conclude such teaching was legal were compiled.

Observing Ramadan

In 2001, shortly after the 9/11 attacks, seventh graders in Byron, California, were taught a three-week course on Islam that required them to learn 25 Islamic terms, 20 proverbs, Islam’s Five Pillars of Faith, 10 key Islamic prophets and disciples, recite from the Quran, wear a robe during class, adopt a Muslim name and stage their own “holy war” in a dice game.

The school, Excelsior, used a textbook that omitted information about Islam conquest and cruelties against Christians and Jews. Christianity was mentioned only briefly and negatively, linked to the Inquisition and to Salem witch hunts.

The students were given Muslim names and told to recite Muslim prayers in class. They were required to recognize the Islamic practice of Ramadan by giving up something for a day, and the teacher gave extra credit for fasting at lunch.

For the final exam, the students had to write an essay about Islamic culture. The essay assignment warned students: “Be careful here; if you do not have something positive to say, don’t say anything!!!”

Parents went to court to uphold their right to reject the class for their children, but a federal just ruled against them, and in 2006, the U.S. Supreme Court refused to consider their appeal.

I appeared on One America News network’s The Daily Ledger to discuss the islamization and madrassing of the San Diego public schools.

The islamization of public schools has been proceeding for many years.

Jewish students are the most bullied, but there are no safe places or Judaism lessons in public school. Or for Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, etc. This is part of the escalation of the islamization of the workplace.

It is telling that the public school district is working with a designated terrorist group, CAIR.

This is nothing short short of surrender to an brutal, invading ideology.

Textbook companies have their material on Islam vetted by Islamic groups that turn them into dawah presentations, proselytizing for Islam.

Innumerable textbooks and other material used in public schools today presents a rosy and whitewashed picture of Islam, while being harshly critical of Judaism and Christianity.

Our children are being taught to despise and be ashamed of their own heritage and culture, and to think that any negative word about Islam, even in connection with jihad terror attacks, is racist and Islamophobic. This is a recipe for surrender and subjugation.

Former Marine fought daughter’s high school for promoting Islam

A public school system in Maryland is being sued for promoting Islam over other religions.

The lawsuit was filed in federal court Wednesday on behalf of a former Marine and his wife who fought back at their daughter’s high school for forcing students to complete assignments that endorsed Islam.

The Thomas More Law Center filed the civil rights complaint in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland, accusing leaders at the Charles County Public Schools of violating the plaintiffs’ constitutional rights.

John Kevin Wood, who served eight years in the Marine Corps, and his wife Melissa objected when they discovered that their daughter’s World History class at La Plata High School was circulating assignments that amounted to Islamic propaganda.

Their daughter and her fellow students were instructed to write out the Islamic creed “Shahada,” which says, “There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is the messenger of Allah.” When recited by non-Muslims, the creed amounts to conversion to Islam.

Students were also required to memorize and recite the Five Pillars of Islam and were subjected to disparaging teachings about Christianity.

“Most Muslims’ faith is stronger than the average Christian,” one worksheet read.

The class also spent one day covering Christianity, while teachers devoted two weeks to instructing about Islam.

Upon learning of the lessons prioritizing Islam, Wood, who is Christian, contacted the school and demanded alternative assignments for his daughter. The school refused to allow his daughter to opt out of the assignments and threatened her with failing grades if they were not completed. She elected not to complete the worksheets.

The complaint filed Wednesday charges that the school discriminated against Wood’s daughter “by removing her from the academic environment of her World History class, relegating her to the student library, and issuing her failing grades on assignments because [she] refused to deny and insult her Christian beliefs.”

Following Wood’s complaints, the school principal also banned him from entering school grounds.

The lawsuit was filed against the Charles County Public Schools, the Board of Education, and the principal and vice principal of La Plata High School. It seeks a declaration from the defendants that they violated the plaintiffs’ constitutional rights, in addition to a temporary and permanent injunction barring them from promoting Islam over other religions and from banning Wood from school grounds.

In announcing the complaint, the president and chief counsel of the Thomas More Law Center warned that schools across the nation are forcing such “Islamic indoctrination.”

“Parents must be ever vigilant to the Islamic indoctrination of their children under the guise of teaching history and multiculturalism. This is happening in public schools across the country. And they must take action to stop it,” Richard Thompson, the law firm’s president, said in a statement.

Public Education’s Pro-Islam Bias

Imagine the outcry we would hear from the soulless Progressives, atheists and Muslims, if students were told that they had to pray the Lord’s Prayer, memorize the Ten Commandments, state that “Jesus is the Messiah” and fast during Lent.

America’s children are being indoctrinated in U.S. public schools, from Florida to Minnesota and California to Tennessee, through Islamic propaganda in the school’s curriculum that is nothing less than political reeducation disguised as “sensitivity training”. They are being sensitized into viewing Islam sympathetically and as a “religion of peace”, despite all evidence to the contrary, through politically correct messages and base Islamic lies that are aimed at developing “cultural awareness” and “tolerance”, regarding Muslims and Islam, and defusing the fact that Islam is a violent ideology that regularly spawns religiously motivated terrorist attacks, such as 9/11 and the Boston Bombing.

The textbooks are “white-washing” the Islamic faith. Islam is characterized as the underdog suffering injustice, while Christians and Jews  are suggested to be unwilling to transcend prejudice and ill-will in order to allow Islam to have equal expression. And yet, there is not any mention of the hundreds of thousands of Christians and Jews being slaughtered and beheaded by Islamofascists across the Middle East or that the 9/11 abattoir was committed by Muslims opposed to our free exercise of religion and our pluralism and tolerance of all.

In an education climate heavily controlled by anti-Christian Progressives, atheists and the ACLU, public schools barely allow Christians to even pray, display the Ten Commandments and read the Bible on their breaks __ their own time __ even though this is protected under the First Amendment. These anti-Christian elements would never teach Christianity in the same manner, as they now teach Islam in the public schools.

With hypocrisy and double-standards on full display, public schools across the U.S. have adopted programs, such as the Islam Project, and they are blatantly violating the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment, according to the Family Policy Network, the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) and millions of Americans. These programs promote an agenda that requires, among a long list of other inappropriate and unconstitutional items, that students learn the five pillars of Islam, recite Islamic prayers such as “all people must submit to Allah” and “there is no God but Allah” and learn that Muslims worship the same God as Christians and Jews, a base, outright lie.

In April of this year, Union Grove High school in Wisconsin gave a writing assignment “Pretend you are Muslim”, and not long afterwards, Carly Gammill, an ACLJ attorney, explained to their school district officials that Islam could not be presented in this manner without breaking the law: “By requiring the students to adopt the viewpoint of a Muslim, union Grove has gone well beyond teaching ‘about’ religion. In fact, this advancement of the Muslim viewpoint is specifically what the Supreme Court has deemed a direct violation of the First Amendment.”

In September 2015, parents in Rutherford, Williamson, Maury, Sumner and other Tennessee counties, were furious over the same sort of indoctrination tactics occurring in their schools; however, some administrators, like Rutherford County Superintendent Don Odom, claimed it was out of the School Board’s hands and blamed the textbook publishers and the state, while others, like Wilson County Director Donna Wright, claimed no wrong was committed. Some of these administrators are simply feckless and ill-informed, and others are knowingly supporting and advancing Islam and discriminating against Christianity and Judaism, in line with the theory that the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

In a deceptive and disingenuous statement, Paul Galloway, who is a Muslim and executive director for the American Center for Outreach, said: “To learn what the first pillar is has nothing to do with indoctrination. You can’t trick someone into being a Muslim.”

Galloway dismisses the fact that these are children in the 6th and 7th grades, who are in their most impressionable and formative years. Any seed of knowledge must be planted with care and full and honest discussion, and in regards to one’s worldview and religion, that responsibility must remain under the domain of the parents concerning the guidance of their children.

Just as Representative Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) stated on September 8th: “There is a big difference between education and indoctrination.”

Reported first by the ‘Columbia Daily Herald’, imagine the righteous anger that flowed from Maury County parents, such as Brandee Porterfield and Joy Ellis, when they discovered their twelve year old children were taught the Islamic conversion prayer and made to write the “Shahada” — “There is no God but Allah; Mohammed is the Messenger of Allah.” And next, they were told by Dr Jan Hanvey that Christianity would not be covered at Spring Hill Middle School, “because Christianity is not in the school standards.”

Pastor Greg Locke of Mt Juliet, TN (Wilson Co) noted that there is only “a half page of watered-down Christianity” being taught in the sixth grade, while 28 pages of Islamic curriculum are being taught. Locke and many families are highly upset “over all this new Islamic indoctrination in our school system”, which they call “absolute brainwashing”. Adding insult to injury, the Wilson County school system exhibited incredible insensitivity by scheduling a test on Islamic curriculum on Sept. 11th, however, the ensuing uproar in the community forced its delay.

Predictably, Christian parents across the country are also upset to find that the study guide section of ‘Origins of Islam’ presents as fact statements such as, “Around the age of 40, the angel Gabriel told Mohammed that he was to be a prophet of Allah.”

Imagine the outcry we would hear from the soulless Progressives, atheists and Muslims, if students were told that they had to pray the Lord’s Prayer, memorize the Ten Commandments, state that “Jesus is the Messiah” and fast during Lent. Even if we cannot fully or completely explain why Islam is being favored by the U.S. Board of Education and many state and local education boards, the duplicity of the public education system is apparent in regards to Islam.

State Representative Andy Holt (R-Dresden/TN) wrote in his blog: “While I can certainly understand the desire for cultural knowledge, it must never be at the cost of our cultural identity. Many of our children are not being taught the Ten Commandments in school, but instead the Five Pillars of Islam and the ‘Prophet’ Mohammed as a sovereign to Jesus Christ.”

The pro-Islam bias and precepts towards conversion to Islam in public schools must be ended, and all those government officials, educators and superintendents  responsible for this situation across America must be held accountable through more than just petitions and lawsuits. Textbook contracts can be voided on the basis of multiple factual errors. Teachers can introduce new curriculum that meets their communities’ approval, with little to zero added cost. And, superintendents unable or unwilling to cooperate can be fired, defeated in special elections and impeached, their contracts ended and damn the cost: America’s parents must join ranks forcefully to ensure that our children receive an honest and fact-based education __ the best possible education __ through a system built on integrity, incorrupt from exalting Islam above all other beliefs.

Jihad, in its many guises and forms, is being waged across America. No aspect of our society has been untouched by this relentless attack. Including our schools.

Our education system has been infiltrated by the enemy, as the next generation of Americans is brainwashed with white-washed Islam.

The assault is coming from all directions and it never sleeps.

Muslim Brotherhood front groups have been, and continue to be, integrally involved in the development of Common Core curriculum. They make sure a false picture of Islam is integrated into lessons, from K – 12. Our children are exposed to all manner of “educational” activities that amount to Islamic propaganda, which is now endemic in the school system.

In addition to Muslim Brotherhood front groups, Saudi Arabia exerts outside influence on school curricula. The Saudis spread a lot of money around, giving it to organizations that promote Islam throughout our institutions. Schools receive a hefty sum of brand name sickness called Wahhabism. As Stanley Kurtz wrote in NRO several years ago: “…the Saudis have figured out how to make an end-run around America’s K-12 curriculum safeguards, thereby gaining control over much of what children in the United States learn about the Middle East.” (To learn more about how the Saudi’s achieved this, see here and here.)

Then there are garden variety Muslims bent on advancing Sharia law in our schools who also wield enormous power. Take, for instance, Fethullah Gulen. Gulen is a Muslim committed to the advancement of the Islamic state. He has called for the destruction of the United States and all infidels. And he has set up a network of publically-funded charter schools.

Factor in political leadership that is clueless (at best) or willfully collaborating with the enemy (at worst) along with an electorate that has been marinating in politically-correct-multicultural-moral-equivalence “thinking,” and you’ve got a powerful force mangling the minds of our youth.

I wish I could call what is going on a battle. Or a war. But I can’t. Because thus far America has hardly put up a fight. And so, Islam advances. Marching through the halls of our schools.

The following all have taken place at one or more schools:

  • Students are taught the five pillars of Islam.
  • Students recite “all people must submit to Allah,” “there is no God but Allah,” and “Allah is great,” among other Muslim prayers. Sometimes students recite these words in Arabic. Students also recite the Pledge of Allegiance in Arabic, saying: “One nation under Allah.”
  • Lesson plans promote Sharia law, polygamy, and burqas.
  • Classes unrelated to history or religion often morph into Islamic propaganda.
  • A Saudi-funded 3-week program on Islam has students living as Muslims, during which time, among other things, they recite Muslim prayers and chants and are prohibited from wearing a cross or saying the name “Jesus.”
  • Students are taught that Muslims worship the same God as Christians and Jews.
  • Students must write about how, if they were a travel agent, they would create a travel package promoting the Golden Age of Islam.
  • Textbooks include the Muslim call to prayer, whitewash Islam, denigrate Christians and Jews, and describe Muhammad as a wise spiritual leader; a gentle merchant with a strong moral compass; and a man who was deeply concerned about the mistreatment of others.
  • Student field trips bring them to mosques where students are given Korans, kneel down and pray to Allah, and are told that Muslims treat those they conquer better than minorities are treated in the United States. One field trip was to the mosque the Tsarnaev brothers attended, where non-Muslim boys joined adult males in prayer and girls were told Islam is pro-woman (among other egregious things).
  • A curriculum used a video that framed non-Muslims as bigots and enforced blasphemy laws.
  • Lessons teach more about Islam than any other faith.
  • Students must write essays about what it would be like to travel to Mecca.
  • Fill-in-the-blank assignments include answers that read: “Islam, at heart, is a peaceful religion” and “Most Muslims faith is stronger than the average Christian,” among other lies.
  • Korans are introduced into the classroom.
  • Muslim clerics, members of CAIR, and representatives from Islamic centers come into classrooms to observe and/or lecture.
  • Female students wear burqas as part of a lesson on Islam.
  • Lessons teach that terrorists must be called freedom fighters.
  • Students are required to study Arabic.
  • A teacher is forced to resign after making critical statements about Obama and Islam on a talk radio program. CAIR accuses a teacher of being a “racist” because she drew an analogy between the Taliban and Hamas during lessons on bullying. Christian teachers are harassed by Muslims in the school hierarchy.
  • Muslim students are given special privileges that students of other faiths are not afforded, including several times during the school day when they are allowed to leave the classroom to pray.
  • Muslim holidays are added to school calendars.

The list above is by no means exhaustive, but you get the idea. Needless to say, everything that is being taught is the taqiyya version. Would that it were the truth, we could take heart that our children were learning about an enemy intent on cutting their lives short. Instead, brainwashing is taking place that will help the enemy advance with even less resistance than it currently faces. (And it faces precious little.)

In many situations parents were kept in the dark about the Islamic propaganda being peddled in their children’s schools and only learned about it after seeing something on their child’s homework assignment.

In some cases, after parents found out about what was being taught, they challenged the school and/or pulled their children out of school. Some have pursued legal action and there have been some victories because parents became informed, took action, and fought back.

On the flip side, many parents appear unaware, unconcerned, or even supportive of this dangerous assault – otherwise known as “soft jihad” – against the minds of our young people. In addition, in many cases power brokers in the school system have stood behind the twisted ways Islam is impacting the education of our youth.

Moral equivalence, ignorance, and dhimmitude have taken hold.

So how are we dealing with this avalanche of jihad reigning down on our children?

Poorly.

In dribs and drabs. Here and there. With a barely perceptible, momentary flicker of light. And then it goes out. While the forces we are up against are organized and gaining ground by the day.

Here’s an example of the kind of slick organization that is operating to advance Sharia. It’s called the Islam Project. Their mission statement is filled with buzzwords so many Americans have come to embrace. It’s Exhibit A for taqiyya-in-action and is an example of the first stage of the 3 stages of jihad:

The PBS films Muhammad: Legacy of a Prophet and Muslims are the keystones of the Islam Project, which also includes a national community engagement campaign to raise public awareness, build community bridges, support dialogue, offer educational resources, and explore workplace issues as they relate to Muslims.

The Islam Project is partnering with interfaith and other community-based organizations to focus attention on issues facing Muslims in America and throughout the world. The campaign includes a range of tools — both video and print — for use by community organizations, educators, civil rights leaders, policymakers, journalists, employers, and those in the general public who want to learn more about Muslims and Islam.

Communities in ten cities — Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Cleveland, Dallas, Detroit, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Washington, D.C., and Wichita, Kansas — have launched campaigns based on the tools of the Islam Project….

The Cliff Notes for the above would be: If you believe any of what you just read, you’re an idiot. Our goal is submission and we will achieve this goal by any and all means. Useful idiots welcome. Until you’re no longer needed.

An army is on the march. Where is our army to beat back this beast?

We cannot afford to lose one more child – and certainly not another generation – to the deadly influence of Islam in our schools.

Speak out. Get involved. You don’t have to start from scratch. You can, for example, join ACT! for America, a large organization dedicated to national security and battling Islamic supremacism. ACA has 280,000 members and nearly 900 chapters across the country. Become a member and help our army swell to millions.

What is America’s survival plan?

We’re facing the greatest national security threat we have ever known and there is no coherent plan to battle the enemy. This nation is so far behind the eight ball, the president and his minions won’t even name the enemy, no less fight it.

Name = Islam

Even worse, those in positions of power and influence misrepresent what the enemy stands for. Like a pre-recorded announcement that just won’t stop, we are endlessly subjected to the false refrain: Islam is a religion of peace. By Muslim lights, we live in the Dar al Harb, the territory of war, simply because we refuse to accept Islam. We didn’t declare war, Mohammed did.

And when it comes to the threat of Islamic supremacism, it’s not only the left that’s putting us at risk. The right is hardly better, as both parties serve up a boatload of ignorance, complicity, and cowardice on a daily basis. Our elected officials draft legislation, set foreign policy, speak at podiums, sit on panels, write press releases, pen op-eds, and yack away on talk shows about the wonders of Islam. If anyone challenges what they’re peddling, the peddlers get rather hot under the collar. As for the truth-tellers, they are mocked, marginalized, and vilified.

And what a truth it is, as we confront a totalitarian ideology bent on world domination ruled by one religion — an ideology that is infecting every aspect of our culture and which has the potential to destroy all of civilization.

Despite this grave threat, you can count on one hand how many leaders are informed and speaking the truth. And even they — and God bless every single one of them — have offered ideas in bits and pieces, with faint calls to investigate Huma Abedin, a proposal to designate the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization, a proposal to strip citizenship from Americans who travel overseas to fight for terrorists, along with a few states that passed anti-Sharia laws. Woefully inadequate as these actions are, three-quarters of them barely saw the light of day as the truth-tellers were pilloried and the legislation never came to pass. In any case, the solutions noted above are not an overarching strategy.

Not even close.

How can that be? The most brutal and ruthless enemy is advancing toward us and has infiltrated every arm of our government, and there is hardly a word said, no less a plan offered, as to how to beat them back. Quite the opposite. We are welcoming them with open arms. Giving them the keys to the kingdom.

If we are to survive, this madness must end. And toward that end, I suggest the following:

Name the enemy:  If you don’t name the enemy, how can you win the war? Let’s stop talking like idiots. We’re battling a totalitarian ideology as written in the Koran, and the people who follow it. It’s called Islam. Not “radical Islam.” Just Islam. By any standard, the teachings in the Koran are radical. When people say “radical Islam,” it suggests there is some other form of Islam that is more tempered. Moderate, as they say. But such a thing does not exist, except as neglect of scriptural imperatives. And should anyone claim there are peaceful verses please point them to Chapter 2, Verse 106 (Abrogation) which states that later (violent) verses override and/or replace earlier (peaceful) ones.

Stop saying “war on terror”:  This expression is vague and minimizes the scope of the battle. We’re fighting Islamic jihad in all its forms — from physical violence to creeping Sharia and everything in between. We are at war with those who follow the teachings of the Koran — whether they are violent jihadists or members of the school board trying to influence curriculum.

Shut down Iran’s nuclear program:  Iran is a mortal threat to Israel, the United States, and indeed the entire civilized world. We should not be involved in negotiations with a nation that has declared its murderous intentions against America and her allies. If Iran develops a nuclear weapon, the world as we know it will be forever altered as a blanket of death will descend. We must destroy Iran’s ability to develop a nuclear weapon before it is too late. And the clock is running down. Quickly.

Address the malevolent influence of the Muslim Brotherhood:  It is critical that we address how deeply the Muslim Brotherhood has infiltrated our government. We must designate the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization, remove members of the Muslim Brotherhood from government positions, and shut down all Muslim Brotherhood front groups. We cannot survive if the enemy is not only attacking from without, but also from within (per their stated plan). Terrorists have no place on American soil, no less within our government. Identify them, arrest them where appropriate, and send the rest packing.

Stop construction of mosques and shut down most of those already built: Mosques are popping up all across America, with a 75% increase in new construction since 9/11. There are now well over 2,000 mosques in America (some of them “mega mosques”) with no end in sight. Two separate studies document that 80% of mosques in the United States preach jihad. That number is staggering. The situation is intolerable. It pushes the limit of freedom of religion and freedom of speech. A nation cannot endure direct threats against it if it hopes to survive.

Shut down Islamic schools and get Islam out of public school classrooms: We cannot allow Islamic schools to indoctrinate the next generation of Muslim Americans, where students are taught Islamic dominance, forced conversions, death to non-believers, and the destruction of Israel. This is not a reflection of American values and serves as a direct threat to our future. If Muslim Americans want their children to attend such schools, the family should relocate to an Islamic country. We must also remove Islamic propaganda from our public schools, private schools, college and universities. And while we’re on the subject, Muslim colleges are blossoming. The most prominent (Zaytuna College) opened five years ago in Berkeley, California. But there have been others, including the Islamic Online University. At the very least, these institutions must be monitored.

Shut down American jihadist training compounds:  We cannot tolerate Muslim enclaves in America where jihadist training is taught. Muslims of America have training compounds scattered throughout the country poised to inflict violence on a massive scale. This cannot stand. America is a nation that is free, not a nation that is stupid. “Anything goes” is not our founding principle. It is sheer insanity to tolerate people and organizations that train jihadists to attack Americans. Plus, last I checked, it’s against the law. We know where thesecompounds are. We must shut them down. Immediately.

Address prisons as breading grounds for Muslim converts:  Prisons have become breeding grounds for Islamic converts and jihadist indoctrination. We must block the outside influence from Saudi Arabia and terror states, ensure those in the prison power structure become educated about Islam, and involve subject matter experts to help vet and monitor Muslim chaplains. No one — imams or prisoners — must be allowed to engage in violent rhetoric or activity, Muslim prison gangs must be broken apart, and perks that Muslim prisoners alone get must be stripped away.

Stop immigration from Islamic countries:  As seen throughout Europe, it doesn’t take a lot of Muslims to wreak havoc on a nation. To help ensure we don’t wind up like Europe, we must halt all immigration from Islamic countries. The risks are simply too high. No nation has an obligation to allow immigration from any and all countries. And in the case of immigration from Islamic countries, it is impossible to fully vet Muslim immigrants for the following reasons: (1) We cannot know who has an agenda to impose Sharia law (and statsshow most support it). (2) We need to recognize that increasing numbers of Muslims who seem like regular folks are morphing into jihadists. (3) We must understand the role that taqiyya (sanctioned deception) plays in any vetting process. Islam is not compatible with Western values. It is not compatible with Judeo/Christian values. It is not compatible with liberty and freedom. It’s illogical to import people from cultures where some, many, or most individuals hate America and want to destroy everything we stand for. (When considering this issue, one should also keep in mind the 3 stages of jihad.)

Stop moral equivalence:  All cultures are not the same. All ideas are not the same. All religions are not the same. Stop speaking as if they are. Islam is the 21st century Nazism. As Prime Minister Netanyahu said, “We’ve seen this before. There’s a master race; Now there’s a master faith.” Human beings have the ability to discern. Let’s start using this God-given gift. Western cultures are better than Islamic cultures. The idea of liberty is better than the idea of oppression. Values of love and life trump those of darkness, death, and destruction. Everything is not the same. Spread the word.

Ban the burqa and niqab:  A person’s face must be exposed for all the obvious reasons. In addition, swaths of fabric draped over and around one’s body mask the human form and can also hide weapons. We’ve already had criminals exploit burqas in order to commit crimes. This sort of identity-hiding garb has no place in a modern, Western society. If a Muslim insists on wearing a burqa I suggest she move to any one of the dozens of Muslim countries where such attire is welcome, if not required. It’s not how we do things in the United States and we shouldn’t start. Cultures are different. Values are different. The United States, thank God, is not an Islamic nation. And we shouldn’t slide any further down the path of embracing Islamic values (such as they are) and norms. Including Islamic dress codes.

Allow people who want to join terror groups overseas to leave the country and ensure it’s a one-way ticket:  When we become aware of persons planning to travel overseas to join ISIS or any other terror organization, we should not stop them. There is no reason to have such individuals among us. We should let them go, then slam the door behind them so they can never return: revoke their passport, visa, and U.S. citizenship. They must not be allowed to engage in this treasonous act without consequence (as is currently the case).

Secure the border:  The United States must secure its borders so that, among other things, we don’t leave ourselves open to terrorists coming across. It defies common sense and sound national security to have open borders. The border must be secured.

Achieve energy independence:  We must break our reliance on oil from Saudi Arabia and other Middle Eastern countries that are run by dictators who use their power and influence to undermine our nation. There is no reason this great nation cannot become energy independent if we set about to achieve that goal. We have the resources. Now we must find the will.

Stop supporting terror:  We must stop all funds that go to the Palestinian Authority. We must investigate Turkey and Qatar as state sponsors of terror and reassess our ties with these nations. We should suspend funding for the UN Human Rights Commission.

Become citizen activists:  This battle must be fought on all fronts by everyone. Leftists might be permanent goners, but there are a lot of folks who are simply uninformed. Get involved and speak out. Be savvy about the best way to approach others. Don’t overwhelm. Choose your focus, your words, and your support materials carefully. Here are a few ideas:

Educate others about the Koran:  This is critical. Islam is a totalitarian ideology at its core and we must tell it like it is when we speak about it. Educate yourself. Then educate others. Robert Spencer has two excellent books that I highly recommend if you haven’t read them already:  The Complete Infidel’s Guide to the Koran and The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam (and the Crusades)

Educate others about the 3 stages of jihad:  Islam has a methodical method to the bloody madness. Part of that method involves how to advance jihad in three stages to reach its most bellicose form. David Wood of Answering Muslims has an excellent video on the subject, here.

Support people and organizations that are on the front lines of this battle:  There are many brave patriots working tirelessly to wake people up to the threat of Islam. They are a great resource and they also need our support. Reach out to others in your place of worship:  Churches and synagogues should be leading voices in this battle. Sadly, they’re not. “Interfaith dialogue” has become all the rage as many churches and synagogues enable the enemy. In addition, many churches have joined the BDS movement against Israel — a nation on the bleeding edge of the fight against jihad. We must shift this dangerous course. (When enlightening members at your place of worship, theChristian Action Network might be a resource for some that is particularly resonant.)

Know what’s going on in your community:  In addition to the construction ofnew mosques, there are myriad ways that creeping Sharia creeps. Stay on top of what’s going on in your community and take action. See here, here, here, here,here, here, here, here, and here for a snapshot among an endless battery of examples that are reminders of how vigilant we must be.

Stay on top of what is going on in schools:  Whether you have children in school or not, it behooves all of us to know what’s going on in the school system. Lord knows, CAIR and other Muslim Brotherhood front groups are campaigning, lobbying, applying pressure, and in some cases, suing to make sure Islam marches through the halls of our public and private schools (as well as colleges and universities). We will all pay a price for the next generation’s brainwashing if we don’t address it. See here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here,here, and here among countless examples.

Let your elected officials know where you stand and what you expect from them:  Most of them are clueless. At best. They need to be educated. Who’s going to educate them? That would be us. We cannot, for example, ever again have an imam lead a prayer in Congress. Not. ever. again.

Contact the media:  Speak out about biased and erroneous coverage of Islam, Sharia, and terror. Urge them to stop inviting guests who are members of Muslim Brotherhood front groups. Educate them about this issue.

Be creative and take initiative:  Every day, whether on an international, national scale, or local level, the West is increasingly in the grip of Islamic law. Find ways to speak the truth and educate the public. Here’s an inspiring story: A group of concerned citizens formed an organization called the Counter Jihad Coalition. They created brochures on Islam and, armed with knowledge and these materials, they stand in a public square (in this case, 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica, California) and educate others. In closing, I would like to say that the current state of affairs with respect to our nation’s retreat is unsustainable. We either fight with everything we have, or we will be undone. The terrifying command to “convert or die” will not be a savage reality forced upon people in other nations. It will be bellowed through this land. And while many of us feel overwhelmed with our time and energy stretched thin, please consider that if we don’t take this on now, an inconceivable darkness will envelope our lives that will silence our voices — if not our beating hearts — on this, and every single thing.

No one will be immune to the evil that is coming. Democrats, Republicans and Independents; patriots and dhimmis; men, women, and children; the young, the old and everyone in between; rich and poor; Christians, Mormons, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, agnostics, and atheists; black, brown, and white; the educated and uneducated; public servants and private sector employees; doctors, teachers, roofers, truck drivers, lawyers, veterinarians, CEO’s, cooks, plumbers, dog walkers; as well as dogs.

America is the ultimate target of this evil. We either fight now, or face the unthinkable later. And later is much sooner than we think.
